Broken
Anyone else have a strong fear of people saying their baby looks like another family member? My partners sister has a little boy and they both have blue eyes which my daughter currently has. My fear is that someone would say my daughter is her child. Well yesterday that happened and it broke me. Anyone relate or tell me im valid to feel this way

💯. My husband’s family is Italian, and I am very white. All of my kids, except one, have come out looking exactly like his sister, or him. If she were to walk away with any of my kids, I’d have to prove that they are mine. Mind you, she and I, do not mix well. It’s been a huge struggle since our first was born. My MIL does not help the situation but always commenting on how much the girls look like his sister, and how strong their genes are, compared to mine. It took me a long time to allow these comments to just roll off of me. But now it’s been 13 years of it, and I just ignore them. We’re about to have a boy, after 3 girls, and I already know, he’s gonna look just like his dad. Which I love. But I do not like the aspect of his sister EVER chiming in. 😒😒. I’m really sorry this happened to you, and I fully understand the broken feelings. I made this baby, no one else should be taking credit by claiming how much they look like them. I had to really get use to it. Especially since
Nah, because shes mine and she might look a bit like my siblings but shes not. My daughter looks more like my brothers daughter than his own daughter does.
