I don’t know if it’s just me being sensitive but whenever we go to the park, my 3 year old will try to make friends and almost every time they’ll say ‘you can’t play with us’ or ‘I don’t want to play with you’ and they’ll be nasty to him. This can happen a few times during the same hour sometimes and it actually really starts to bother me. He brushes it off but it’s sitting with me hard. His sister is only 7 months old and we don’t have many other friends his age to go on play dates with. I’m not sure if it’s just because the kids are already doing their thing in their own group of friends or what. Is this normal? Does this happen to your child too? I can’t bare it makes me not want to take him to the park anymore😭

This has only happened to me a few times with our son. My son is very outgoing and social so he will literally go up to anyone or everyone and play with them. He always includes other kids. Bt what I have learned it’s not the same for every kid. Some kids are very cliquey & maybe they don’t when they are being rude. Bt I wouldn’t think too much of it, it’s probably just how they were raised. Since I’m not raising my kid like that cuz it’s borderline lowkey bullying it’s sometimes hard to understand bt this is just how life works. Some kids will play with ur kid and some will not. The only thing I do is jus try to make my son understand that not everyone is a “friend” or “friendly”
This goes for adults as well. Cuz even as adults, I wudnt be offended if some1 in a public place didn’t want to be friends with me or didn’t talk to me. I think bittersweet moments like that can be learning lessons for the little ones. these are harsh cruel lessons to learn at such tender & young age

Kids can be mean and I’m guessing it’s older kids saying this too him not other 3 year olds, have you tried going to play groups with just little kids (up to 4/5) he might have a better chance of making some friends
This doesn’t happen to my 3 year old but at the park it’s normally kids slightly older that will play with her maybe I just live in a nice area cos I have heard other parents have the same experience as you

My boys are usually friends with almost anyone but my daughter will say no, unless she wants to. And that's barely. I usually try to convince her and let her know that sometimes when you try things, you will be surprised :) some kids are more picky definitely lol
It is always when he goes up to a group of children who are already friends or brothers/sisters. He makes friends if they’re an only child on their own but it’s the groups and then they don’t just say ‘no’ they end up being mean sticking their tongue out and saying nasty things. I wouldn’t say we are from a bad area at all but the kids are just so nasty. He goes to nursery and playgroups, I guess still struggles a little bit to really bond or click with someone. Makes me sad

The way that I would have to fight the urge to push the child being mean to my child down... Thankfully we haven't encountered this yet she turns a year on the 3rd
My day 3 milk has just come in and im finding the engorgement and nipple pain unbearable. Im really keen to persevere with exclusive breastfeeding. Any recommendations for the pain?

At what point do I stop setting an alarm? My baby never let's me sleep 4 hours anyway, but shes now 7 week old and I still set an alarm for every 4 hours as directed in the early days!!

Does anyone else’s LO not wee during the night?
My LG has a bedtime bottle and wakes sometimes once or twice for some water in the night but when she wakes her nappy is completely dry so I don’t change her. However, when she wakes in the morning, she’s weeing and leaking through because there’s so much.

How many of you tracked feeds, sleep, and diapers vs just feeding on demand (bottle or breast) and following baby's cues? For those that tracked - may I ask why/ if it helped in some specific way?

So my son is two weeks & five days old. When he was born I was exclusively breastfeeding him in the hospital for about two days then a nurse came in and gave him a pacifier (I wasn’t aware of the damage that thing could cause my journey) he continued to feed up until we got home and he fed one time then just completely rejected my boob…. I went into panic mode and tried to express milk so he wouldn’t go hungry but of course my milk hadn’t fully come in just yet so I only got colostrum and gave that to him. I then decided to combo feed (formula and BM) until I could get him back on the boob and until my supply increased… during my first pump I got about 4 oz and was really excited until my supply dropped… I haven’t seen a 4 oz day since. I have tried everything to increase my supply but I’m not getting anything more than an oz sometimes less…. I even got a lactation specialist who has tried to help me and my son. Come to find out, my son has lip and tongue ties that are making it harder for him to latch and now i think he just doesn’t want to try the boob.. I continue to try but tbh this is becoming mentally draining and emotionally exhausting feeling like I cant produce for my baby… I really want him to have breast milk but its starting to look like my son is going to be formula fed which breaks my heart honestly…. Today I tried to pump for almost an hour and got just about an ounce of milk out and guess what…my mom accidentally wasted it all on the couch and I’m just OVER IT!
