I am almost 6 weeks pregnant FTM and struggling with the complete aversion to food.
Ive seen and been told to try to snack little and often and I do for baby's sake, but I am yet to find anything that goes down easy.
Anything dry like breadsticks or toast, I find myself chewing for a lifetime and struggling to swallow.
What are/were your go to snack foods that made it feel a little easier? as my list is extremely limited right now.

Maybe an obvious one but I ate a lot of ginger biscuits 🤣
Watermelon / any melon tbh seemed to stay down, hydrating too.
Ngl though I lived off frozen grapes my entire first trimester 🍇

Hi lovely, my food aversions were terrible in the beginning, the sight, smell, texture the lot (still a million things I won't touch!) I basically lived off greek yogurt and frozen blueberries, or any food that didn't really taste of much like cottage cheese, crackers and plain biscuits. Jacket potatoes or mash with just butter is pretty non offensive and filling xx

I have such guilt that I'm not eating enough or the right thing.
I think I may need to come away from trying to eat meals?

My go to was fruit, I had really bad food aversion for meat and smelly foods its tough but you will find some safe foods. Try all things beige and non smelly foods

I’ve been struggling too as everything sounds awful 😮💨 I’ve found toast the only thing I can comfortably eat. I’ve been drinking orange juice just to try and get a bit of health into me 😅 have you tried ginger biscuits? They help a little bit for me with nausea x

Sorry you’re struggling with this! Just thought I’d mention drinks that have vitamins / electrolytes in so you don’t get depleted. Coconut water is insanely good 😊

Belvita minis and fruit pastille ice lollies!

Try a cheese sandwich! Might not sound the healthiest but calcium is super important in pregnancy and cheese has lots of it, I tried to snack on nuts just to keep my energy up because I really hated eating, still do some days and I’m in last trimester 😭

From what I remember I think I lived of Yoghurt, lemons and slushies 😅

Instant noodles were the only thing I could stomach for weeks in my first trimester. I know your pain with the food aversions, genuinely horrible, I cried with relief the first time I was able to eat a bit of fruit 😅 lemon water also helped me with nausea if you are experiencing that too. It gets better I promise, hang in there 🩷

Potato waffles, cheese and crackers, nature valley cereal bars, greek yoghurt with berries, rich teas, pasta with just mayo on, I couldn't stand the texture of melted cheese, ice lollies, porridge, salt and vinegar twists, mint Imperials, chicken nuggets, oranges, fresh apple juice, cheese sandwiches, instant chicken noodles. Not gonna lie I still had to have tiny mouthfuls of everything and took me a lifetime to eat things, I wouldn't say anything went down particularly easy but these were the easiest! and after 12 weeks I luckily felt much less nauseous so fingers crossed for you 🤞still had food aversions for the rest of my pregnancy but way more things I could eat from that point onwards ☺️
