When does it get better?

I’m 4 months pp and am still struggling with PPD quite badly. When will I start to feel better?

Are you taking any ssri’s to manage it if not maybe speak to your doctor if you feel your getting worse. I’m 11 months postpartum it does get better. I had ppd really bad too and I’m on sertraline and upped my dose to 75 a day started to feel better 6 months postpartum just get the help you need don’t feel bad about it your health and mind is just as important to care for your baby. Hope you feel better soon x

Mine lasted 6 months with my first and 9 months with my second. But it can be so different for everybody. I think it helped when my babies got a bit more independent. I didn’t take anything for mine but in hindsight I wish I did. I was almost too swept up in the ppd to help myself, but it’s great you can see what’s going on for yourself. Maybe it’s worth a conversation with your dr to see if that’s a route you’d want to take? As waiting for the storm to pass can be exhausting for you. Sending strength 🫶
