With our children turning 5 early into the school year how are you managing birthday party invites? Will you be inviting the whole class or just the few they make friends with in the first couple of weeks? My son already wants to invite some friends from his preschool who he won’t be at school with and if we invite the whole class that could potentially be a lot of children.

I'm sending invites out this weekend as my little one is born at the beginning of October so it will be just her friends from nursery/preschool this year and we will see the next one :)

We are inviting 15 kids she knows already. These are all the kids she asked for, a few from preschool, a few from our street and some of our friends’ kids who are a similar age. That leaves space for her to invite a few of her new school friends. I think she would be overwhelmed by her whole class and sad not to invite her current friends.

Yes plan is whole class preschool. We never had birthday parties actually so now will be all new for him plus guess good start to the school - meeting parents. Heard mot many will turn up even they will respond yes. So half the money could go to waste. But already booked softplay with laser experience.

I’ve always done big parties and spent loads and realised most kids don’t so this year we’re just inviting kids we know as a family and a few from his preschool who have also gone onto his school
