Staying awake at night

If you prop yourself up with your pillows so that you're reclined. Then if you do nod off you won't lean forward onto the baby. There's lots of safe cosleeping advice on Instagram, I know you're not intending to cosleep but if you're falling asleep just make sure you're in the safest position possible.

Omg!! I feel you 😭 Make sure you’re not at the edge of the bed—try to stay more toward the middle. And if there’s a wall next to your bed, maybe put a pillow or something soft there.

Also, try to stay awake as much as you can. Music helped me! Or honestly, if he’s okay with it, just skip the feeding. It’s better to skip one feeding than put yourself in a dangerous situation. ❤️

i know it’s not so helpful or ideal but I used to stand up during feeds! my daughter was not a great sleeper and would be awake for feeds all through the night and i was the same! struggling so hard not to nod off so i just stood up to make sure there was no way that i would ! xx

Search safe co sleeping if your bed is firm enough you can side lie and feed and co sleep for thar late night feeds! It’s a game changer did it with both line and they both now sleep all night independently in their own rooms.

Safely set up your bed for chest sleeping and then you can fall asleep on purpose and not have to try and stay awake!

I know co-sleeping isn’t ideal for everyone, but that what I did with my baby there’s no way I could feed and be awake. I was exhausted. So yeah I would recommend look up safe ways to co-sleep and feed. There are tons out there. And it’s trial and error until you get the hang of it.

Ps: just know that you are doing an amazing job and don’t be yourself if you do thinks that you initially didn’t plan to do, as long as little buba and you are happy
