Hey everyone, for awhile now I have been thinking about adopting. From what I've read most experts agree that if adoptive parents wish to change a child's name they can, however they must not totally remove the child's birth name. Now like many people in this community I have had a list of names for my future children, I will happily integrate any child's birth name with those on my list (probably as 1st middle). My question is, as I intend to adopt sibling groups should I theme the names of each sibling group or should I just go with the order the names come on the list

Maybe I’m misunderstanding but wouldn’t theming siblings create division between the kids? Like these are my actual sisters, those aren’t? It’s like when people have 3 kids and call them Thomas and “the twins”, like they are their own unit rather than part of the wider family.
Whenever we’ve discussed adoption the goal was to blend everyone in so there’s no them and us, it’s all one big family with no differences.

Maybe wait till you meet the kids? Their birth names might suit them perfectly, and they might be quite attached to them (if not new born).
