Hello! My baby is 3 months old and breastfed. We’ve been trying to get her to take a bottle for a month now with no progress. I have one more month until I go back to work… the process has felt exhausting, disheartening, and anxiety producing. It’s hard not to feel like a failure each time and then keep trying every day. I’m writing here to see if anyone has a success story they could share to give me hope and inspiration to keep going. Or any tips?? Will take any advice. We’ve been following all of the guidelines from the lactation consultant and trying many different bottles. Thank you ❤️

My son refused a bottle until around 4 months. Just as you described i tried pretty much everything and so many different types of bottles but he kept refusing. I got very sick out of nowhere and had to go to the emergency room. I was unable to feed him as I was so sick that day. He was so hungry that he took the bottle. He has been taking it ever since that day. Theres been times he refused it due to temp of milk/temp of nipple on bottle. I found making sure the nipple is slightly warm and milk is at perfect temp helped significantly in getting him to accept it. Hope you are able to have some success soon!

I swear I am 1000% not a corporate plant but have you tried mōmi bottles?
They worked great for us! Baby liked them because he could clamp down with his mouth to stop the milk like he did with the boob—regular bottles will squirt and be weird when he does the same sucking motions he used at the breast! The weirdness freaked him out, he was NOT a fan.
It’ll eventually work out though, babies are made to adapt! They resist it because you’re doing everything right and you made them feel so safe. It could help to have dad try to lead the bottle brigade too, sometimes they won’t take bottles from mommy because they know you have the goods!
EDIT (sorry just remembered this): we also did bottle feeds while doing skin to skin for a few days at first, then switched to skin to skin right after the bottle-feed! Idk if your consultant recommended that but sometimes babies need to know that they’re not losing that special physical closeness with you, it’s just a new way to eat! You’ve got this!

My mom aka Grammy finally cracked the code with my son. The milk had to be the perfect temp and then when he was sleepy, she rocked him with the bottle while patting his bum. He always nursed to sleep, so the sleep association helped.
It can for sure be stressful! Good luck!

Might not be the bottle. Babies are smart they usually won’t take bottle from booby I mean as soon as they go on us we smell like mum, we smell like boob. Go out, leave the house. Have someone else give bottle. My baby usually took bottle from hubby but not from me unless he’s already had his feed and I’m just topping him up w ebm (he was such a slow gainer, I topped him up w milk/letdown I caught from Hakaa) Have your partner give bottle but make sure you leave they can also sense us in the room. And we were using the disposable hospital bottles for about 3m, midwife gave me a bagful so it was like the cheapest bottle out there lol
My baby just turned four months on the 20th. She hasn’t quite sat up by herself yet but every time she is in somebody’s lap or somebody’s holding her, she’s showing interest in wanting to stand up. When is a good time to get her one of those bouncing toys, I wasn’t sure if we should introduce it yet because she’s not sitting independently or not

My baby has just turned three months and I want to start tracking her sleep during the day, does anyone use any apps that are free and they would recommend? I am not trying to sleep train her till next month but I know it will take a couple months to do so I am not worried, I just want to know she is getting the right amount of sleep now and when she is sleeping in case she has too much or too little, she slept last night from around eight ish till about eleven ISH if I remember and the half three ISH for a bottle then woke up at seven for another bottle, had a wiggle in the cot while I chilled out next to her, I have a cold and it's zap me or else I would interact with her, she got fussy around half seven I think and came for a cuddle and slept till ten ISH and then I had to go out on a important errand, which she napped in the car for about half an hour after crying all the way there which was overwhelming but I had to do it, then around two ISH we both slept till five ISH, as I said I am not well so she was in her cot and me in bed and then she asleep around half eight, I want to know this all correct for her age.
Also how does everyone elses three month old sleep position at the moment, I have a very wiggly baby so I won't use a blanket as she kicks it off and has started to grab, so she's in a sleep bag with arms because she can roll over, with great head control and now for the last few months has slept on her side even when I place her on her back then will slowly move around the cot, I always check her but seems alright, video so you see what she does

What do you prefer with baby bottles and why?

Maybe it’s because I’m jealous, maybe it’s because I’m hoping to find peace in myself but those who have babies/children who sleep well have a very different journey of motherhood/fatherhood. I’m tried, burnt out and close to a menty B

I literally don't know what to do. I want to stop co-sleeping but it is a nightmare. As soon as I place my baby in his bassinet he'll start screaming bloody murder, or roll onto him belly and wake himself up, or sleep 30 minutes then wake up. It's a battle every night and eventually I'm exhausted and give up. He wins and gets to sleep next to mommy. I don't know what to do. 😭 He sleeps perfectly fine on his own for naps, just not at bedtime. Any advice?

Just thought I’d celebrate a milestone in my motherhood.
Today, after 2 years and 8 months of being a mother to my daughter, I successfully transferred her off me from falling asleep on the boob (that’s what works for us idc) into her cot.
Fast and quiet was the method, slight winge then she rolled over and is out for the count.
Feel pretty proud of myself
