feeling nervous to leave baby!!

my husband and I were gifted a spa day for 2 for the entire day with a massage, swimming, sauna, all of it and it’s very kind. but i’m so nervous about leaving the baby without me or my husband there that it makes me feel like i could throw up!!! baby is 5 weeks now and i’ve only left for an hour or two an left him with my husband only so far. did you have an okay experience leaving baby first time? what will ease my anxiety tips?

Probably not what you’re looking for but just because it was gifted doesn’t mean you have to go. I wouldn’t have been comfortable leaving my child at that age with anybody for any length of time tbh.

I didn't leave my son until he was 4 months, and that was only for an hour with his dad!

Just because it's gifted doesn't mean you have to go. Can you delay it for a few months?

I got really annoyed with my Mil for gifting me a spa voucher that was dated and in only 2 weeks time and in another city 🫠 she had made plans for my husband, FIL and BIL to go to the football whilst me and SIL went to the spa, without even asking if we were free that day!

Anyway.... that's a bit off topic....but still. You don't have to go. I wouldn't leave my baby all day at that age, I don't think I did several hours until about 9 months

Honestly. Controversial, but use your village. If I hadn’t used my village and allowed myself to overcome the anxiety of leaving my baby boy - I genuinely would have lost myself. If you trust the person, then your baby will be safe💓. Another person will always let you know if your baby won’t settle, especially if they’ve had kids themselves. You deserve nice things too🤍

When do you have to use it by? Can’t you delay it until baby is 6 months? Do you have people to leave baby with?
