Terrified for the birth…

I’m due 16th January but planning on getting induced and having an early epidural due to I’m prone to seizures. Haven’t planned a date for the induction as of yet.

If anyone can tell me there birth stories It be much appreciated, please no scary ones!! Id also love to hear about your birth experiences if you’ve been induced and how the steps in it all will go. I just want to feel more at peace with it all I’m 21years old and it’s my first baby,I’m 20+6 weeks. at first I was so excited but now I’m full of nerves and can’t help but think of the worst🥹 I know I’m probably being dramatic but I can’t help it haha xx

I used to just try not to think about it. It has to be done, so why waste time thinking about it.

I know that's easier said than done when you're a worrier.

I was induced as my waters broke before my contractions. Its intense because you don't get a slow build up. Ask for pain meds as soon as you think you need them. Don't try to hold off. Gas and air is great but it's very 'in the moment' of a contraction and wears off instantly.

Don't get too bogged down in a birth plan as it may change. There's an element of going with the flow.

I didn't have epidural and was glad I managed without it. It is painful but its beautiful. My baby is 4 months and the pain is forgotten 💙

I would give you my induction story but it did not go to plan and now my daughter has cp but what I can say is trust your body to do the right thing if u don’t think it’s safe for your body don’t let them they are there to aid and support you in your vulnerable and times of need an emergency’s not to tell you what to do with your body if u don’t want them touching u or talking tell
Them that don’t be afraid to stand for what u believe in don’t be a red to tell them what u want at the end of the day it’s you and your baby not them

I had a planned induction due to baby not having any will to come out 🤣 turns out a bump in the road caused baby to engage and I started getting contractions - it was very long I had contractions allll day then alllll night they kept on trying to speed things up and I kept on saying no then my contractions stopped long story short labour started that day and tbh - you have nothing to worry about one advise I have is absolutely go with your gut do not agree to anything you don’t want or you feel like your body’s doing something on its own don’t try to speed up if you already feel like things are moving along on their own I have stood my ground every single step of the way I knew what I wanted and I knew what I didn’t want. Consent is everything if they start doing something you say you didn’t consent to it. Don’t let them lead you to things take in the medical advise but make your own decision.

I wanted waterbirth but ended up getting epidural because their monitors weren’t working.
