Weepy Eye

Mine was like this when he first arrived. If you boil water with a little salt and let it cool, you can gently clean their eyes with a cotton pad

I have the same problem with my 2 week old baby. It is a blocked tear duct. Massage the tear duct it will go away.

Yes I took Jesse to the doctors and they swabbed it and there was no bacteria so most likely a blocked tear duct, I clean with cool boiled water, if the whites of his eyes are still nice and white and it’s just the yellow goo then probs same issue, but i booked the doctors appointment for peace if mind! Xx

We kept being told its normal and to wash with warm water and massage the tear ducts but I knew it wasn’t right and went to the gp. She did have a minor eye infection and had a five day course of eye drops which cleared it up nicely.

As everyone above has said, cooled boiled water to keep it clear. If you’re breastfeeding, some breastmilk will clear it up almost instantly x

Mine LG had this and I used my breast milk and sterile water on a cotton ball it did go away but one eye was still abit weepy so the doctors prescribed eye drops and she’s back to normal x
