Baby wipes recommendation

My baby is due in December, and I’m finding it difficult to know which wipes to start buying as there are so many brands to choose from. I’m not sure which brand would be best to start with.

Huggies tear a lot and pampers as long as they’re not scented because the scent is sooo strong but they’re pretty wet wipes. I find a lot aren’t very wet. Water wipes are good it’s just water lol

Sorry to throw another one in the mix, we use Amazon ones, they come in a purple pack and they’re lovely. So gentle and soft on baby as well as they’re just as wet as water wipes but have the price. Xx

We use the wipes from costco, their own brand. They are fantastic, not dry, and they are large wipes. I found some brands like water wipes and huggies were so small so you end up using so many (especially when its a number 2) and they are super cost effective. They are huge packers and come in a multipack box which lasts forever!

Third the Costco wipes , I don’t have my membership anymore but bought their wipes and diapers before it ended and still using them the packs are huge

I started with cotton wool pads as they are super soft, just wet them first

Yeah maybe for the like the first 6-8 weeks cotton wool and warm water. It's less of a shock than cold wet wipes. We used water wipes after that but they can be quite expensive. Now we are using pampers 99% water wipes which is a bit cheaper and just as good in my experience

I heard a lot of good things about water wipes so I added those to registry and also coterie!

Boots sensitive baby wipes fragrance free. Ive tried a few and these win hands down!
The only ones that never gave my daughter a reaction when she was tiny too!!

I get Amazon sensitive baby wipes, come in a purple packed. I’ve tried so many different wipes and always return to these. £11.12 for a pack of 18. Found it useful to just order these in bulk x

Pampers sensitive are great. I've tried a few and settled on these. Not dry and picks up most poop in one wipe. No skin issues either. Can get a pack of 12 for £10 from Boots

rare type of CMPA

My 12 week old baby has been diagnosed with non-lgE CMPA FPIES which essentially means he has a delayed reaction to the cows milk protein in formula but the reaction is severe. He will vomit a couple of hours after a feed then go pale and floppy but it can also trigger shock and sepsis if not managed. We’ve thankfully been able to get him onto Aptamil pepti 1 and that seems to be agreeing with him so far but our paediatrician says it’s very rare. She only sees it once or twice a year and she’s a private paediatrician and the head paediatrician of 2 sister hospitals.
Has anyone else’s little one got this or has anyone else come across this? Feel so lonely in this period of motherhood and so lost.

HELP!!!!

my daughter is two years old and now has this thing where she touches her own feces…is there ANYTHING that i can do to prevent this from happening or is this a common stage for toddlers that they should grow out of?? any advice will be helpful as i don’t have a clue on how to handle this one

My baby wont sleepppp

Its so late. Im tired. My mans tired. And our baby wont fall back asleep. Shes a medically complex baby and trying to figure out whats wrong is one of the most stressful things especially late at night when we already dont get alot of sleep. That being said, i probably wont be sleeping. Whos awake?? I could use a friend to chat with. We can talk about anything

Dummy or Thumb

My baby girl is 7.5 weeks and we’ve never given her a dummy. This is because our 3yr old still has his at times and it’s been difficult for him to give it up entirely (he used to only have it for naps/night but, got extremely sick in hospital and essentially had it in constantly and since then, he’s needed it beyond sleep).

She’s just started to figure out how to get her thumb (with a great deal of frustration beforehand).

My question is, is a dummy or thumb more problematic for the longer road? I worry if she has her thumb, we can’t take it away and also, a thumb seems more unhygienic.

What have your experiences been?

Changing wet nappy at night

My 3 month old gets his nappy changed at around 7pm, is usually sleeping by 8:30 and wakes up for a feed at 3-4am. I didn’t use to change the nappy until night was over (7am) but one night he had an accident and my partner wants me to change him during the night feed as he says otherwise it is too long. However I find that changing the nappy makes him more alert… so just wondering, are you also changing nappy during your night feed or waiting until the night is over?
