This is a question more for the moms who have had a baby before I guess. Recently had a growth scan because my belly started measuring two weeks behind. Turns out he is just engaged in my pelvis which skewed the measurement... which I could have told them based on all the pressure lol. They said it doesn't mean he's coming super early or anything, but then I've also read that they tend to come 2 to 4 weeks after dropping. And he has felt this low since about 32 weeks. Im due Oct 15 and hoping to go all the way, so just wondering if any moms remember their babies staying dropped for several weeks?

My first born dropped and I was 3 cm dilated in the end of September, almost came at 35 weeks but I was terrified of the nicu and had them stop the contractions and I made it to 39 weeks. I was at the hospital for a stress test.

My second came at 37 weeks & 6 days. She had dropped weeks prior to that, and I was 3 cm dilated a couple days before she came. I’m currently 32 weeks and 6 days, he has dropped but my cervix is still in tact (I’m always asking). But my due date is October 27, they are estimating 37-38 weeks he will come based off my last pregnancy. However my first born came 3 days before the due date. Because of the extreme pressure I feel with him down there, I am concerned about him trying to come early but I’m being told not to worry and everything is fine. 🥴 I advise to continue being observant and listen to your body. As long as I can get to the 37 mark, I’m good. At that point I made it to full term. I don’t want the NICU.

Don’t stress about any of that. Those growth scans are notoriously inaccurate for multiple reasons. My midwife even told me so. Also, the “dropping” doesn’t mean anything certain or exact either. Currently pregnant with my 3rd and nothing has ever gone on anyone’s estimated timeline. 🤷🏻♀️

Yes , both my first baby and this baby has been head down and dropped since 20+ weeks. I didn’t deliver my first until 39 weeks 5 days naturally and I had and have severe pelvic pain. Just get comfy

Doesn't mean anything. The dilatation either. Your baby can be dropped and you can have a 3 cm dilatation for weeks before entering active labor. Unless you have regular contractions for an hour or water breaker you are not in labor.
We have two babies currently 9 and 2.5. We decided to try for another and somehow it only took one try and it worked lol. I’m still praying for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. My last pregnancy I had preeclampsia and he was born 6w early, but I was at least 60 pounds heavier at the START of my pregnancy so I’m hoping being healthier this time around will help. I’ve taken 3 tests, they’ve all been positive. I’m very excited but ugh I’m soooo olddddd

How’s everyone coping with the first trimester anxiety?
I’m 9 weeks after 4 failed IVF rounds and a previous loss and my anxiety is so high! I know I wouldn’t be able to feel much at 9 weeks but I thought there’d at least be stretching or some kind of sensations down there but it all seems so quiet! Just constantly worried something bad has happened. How are we all managing the fear?!

I had my first child when I was 29 I’m now 37 with my 2nd and really worried about the birth.
I had a really easy pregnancy with my first child no symptoms but a really hard labour that ended in emergency c section and lost 2litres of blood … this one I have been so ill first trimester I’m now in second trimester and really freaking out about the birth. I didn’t realise I was even scarred from my last birth until I got pregnant I’m having a planned c section.
Any positive stories of emergency and then planned? Or similar situations

I'm obviously going to keep testing, but I keep thinking I can see a second line on both, then I change my mind again!
