Has anyone experienced this?
My little girl has eczema which we have been treating with both emollients and steroids. Although she is still getting eczema flare ups her skins overall texture seemed to be getting better. However this week it’s taken a real set back. I’ve attached a photo of her forehead and commented a photo of her arm, for clarity no steroids are used on these areas however both areas are covered in cream 5-6 times a day!
I’ve never seen such dry skin on a baby, I wanted to know if anyone else has come up against this as it feels like a loosing battle.

Oh poor baby. My son had horrible eczema as a baby. His skin would crack and ooze even with the thickest moisturizer applied multiple times a day. He didn’t get relief until a few changes in steroid cream to one that completely cleared his eczema in a few days. Now we only use the steroid maybe once or twice a month if he gets a spot here or there. Unfortunately he needed a strong steroid to completely clear it. The first few would start to work but it would never actually clear it and he would just get a flare up somewhere else. Your daughter’s skin looks much better than my sons did. Just sharing my experience. I know steroid creams can aren’t great but eczema flares for extended times aren’t great either. Good luck!
