I will be honest I haven’t been eating the healthiest… did anyone pass their test.. also what does it mean if you fail it?

It’s just a diabetes test n eating healthy has nothing to do with it

passing or failing has nothing to do with you or how you’ve eaten throughout your pregnancy! gestational diabetes happens because of how your placenta effects your hormones and your ability to resist insulin! there’s nothing you or anyone can do to prevent it! if you fail the one hour they will test you again for 3 hours and if you fail two of those hours you will be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. they will set you up with a a nutritionist and based how how severe your gestational diabetes is you may be able to keep it diet controlled or you may need insulin or some other medication.

i thankfully was able to keep mine diet controlled with my 1st kiddo and i’m waiting for my glucose test for this pregnancy. basically you just need to be balancing your carbohydrates and proteins if you do have GDM so adding more protein to a more carby meal and switching from lets say coke to coke zero or diet coke.

but let’s be clear, if you do have gestational diabetes it is NOT your fault!
