I have a 4 year age gap but that was because mentally, I knew I couldn't handle a closer one. I freaking love it. My son LOVES his sister, he is so helpful, there wasn't any regression because of his age. We were able to keep the same routine which also helped not affect him as much, it's been wonderful and when we try for our third and final, we will be keeping a similar age gap.

I was 29 with my first and 33 with my second (she's 2 months) so I will be 36 when we start trying for our last.

I've had 2 under 2. My oldest and youngest are 11 months apart. It was pretty hard dealing with a toddler and newborn in the beginning but they had such a close bond as they got older which I loved

I have 2 under 2 (currently 23 months and 6 months) and it’s the best! They have been so close since the youngest was born. They get the biggest smiles and giggles from each other. The eldest loves to help and get involved and they play together so nicely. They will sit and play together or just cuddle for ages. We have had to teach the eldest to be gentle and there is still times she gets excited when playing with him but she has been so much better than you’d expect for the age gap.

I had my first at 37 and now my second at 39 and it's about 26 months between them. Dealing with a toddler and a baby is exhausted. I think a 3 year or more gap might be better. But again being older I could not wait too long in case I wanted a third baby.
It also depends if you have much family support around you or not, cause extra hands are always helpful.

I had 3 boys under 3 for a while with my step kids, and honestly it’s kind of nice that they go through milestones pretty close together because it’s all fresh in your mind. They definitely entertain each other as they get older (not always on a good way 😅) but I liked that they were all close in age. Honestly I think having a bigger age gap would have been harder. I also have a step daughter who is 4 years older than the youngest and she had a lot of jealousy and frustration that she often took out on the babies.

We have 2.5 years almost exactly and if I could halve my time again I’d go 3+
