I'm worried for my toddler. When do friendships come?

He's 3.5. I'm a single mom not by choice. Playdates I've set up have fizzled and friendships in first two yrs fizZled

I've been so busy trying to set up a new life I took a break from making effort for relationships. It seems if I don't initiate then nothing happens

My nervous system has needed a break this year

Even parents at daycare keep you themselves

It sucks

I'm trying not to worry too much but I do want lifelong friendships for my son

Does friendship come at certain ages for toddlers?

Toddlers play with whoever is there. They make friends out of nowhere. I think most of the time friends end up coming. And kindergarten, up to fifth grade. Some kids don't have the same friends throughout those. Early years I would not worry at all. I would think about your own friends and realize that not all friendships that start at such a young age will be lifelong. Maybe they will. My son has one friend and I'm also friends with his mom. So I think they'll be around for a long time. And maybe they'll end up being best friends. But there's no guarantees.

I’d say most of the friends are made in primary/elementary school as they are a bit more attentive to who they like playing with etc. My son is almost 9 years old; he made friends in daycare/preschool that we still invite a few to his birthday parties (although he’s replaced a handful with school friends now), but his first “best friend” we only see a couple times a year is from daycare and then he has his neighborhood/school bestie along with another handful of school friends.

Just a positive note…

Everyone warned me about the first three months being very demanding and difficult but now that we have overcome, I want to share that you will sleep again, you’ll start to enjoy routines and their smiles get bigger so it makes it all worth it 😀

Please check this message for me.

Without providing any context I know it's hard, but my husband and I are in a bad place. I want to repair things. Please just check this and see if it's fair/makes sense/is clear about my intention?

Naps in bedroom cot

When did you start to put them in their cot in their own bedroom for daytime naps?

Baby carrier??

Please can any recommend a good carrier, my little girl is 4 months old, I want one with good neck support so I don’t have the hold her head from bobbing about so much when she falls asleep if that makes sense. I currently have a baby bjorn & I hate it. I need one with good back support also!! Thanks 😊😊

Sleeping through night?

Just out of curiosity when did your LOs start sleeping through the night?
I know sleep regressions exist and each baby is different but wondering if there is some kind of average.
Our LO is 6 weeks and goes between 3-5h at night, aware there is still a way to go!

Daytime naps

My little one is five months old and she refuses to sleep during the day. If we manage to get her down she’s either in the pram or after a feed. At night she feeds and then sleeps but wakes after an hour and a half to feed again or screams. Her wake windows can be over four hours long. I know that’s too long and I’m exhausted and emotional. Any advice would be appreciated.
