I am looking for a good daycare for my 14 month old, he has been on the waitlist at La Petite Academy on Montgomery NE for a month now, and seems like they have some spaces opening up soon. Has any parent sent their babies/kids to this location? Any insights would help!

I have years of experience with another La Petite here. My child had to go to the one on Homestead for a few days because the other location was having bad plumbing issues and they had to close.
La petite is a chain/commercial type place. When my child went there initially, it was wonderful because the infant teacher was amazing. She was older and had about 20+ years experience in childcare. The one year-old room was also great. As my child got older, the staff turnover got more and more. It also really depends on the individual staff themselves. We had a few really amazing teachers, and a few not so great.
In general, they move the kids around a lot from room to room, in my experience. I think they juggle kids to stay in ratio and also save money. Every day I would drop my son off in one room and throughout the day he would be in four different classrooms. I really didn’t like not knowing what room he was gonna be in, what teachers he’d be with, and if he would be with his friends.

But with all that said, I did have my child there for a few years. I think there are probably worse places in town, but in my opinion, there are also better places. Look into the school and what their philosophy is. Places that have the Reggio Emilia philosophy are really cool. I pay very close attention to the individual staff and the actual teachers that will be with my child. How much experience do they have? How long have they been working there? What type of training and schooling do they have? But of course the teacher could always decide to leave. I did really like that they had cameras, so you could check in on your kid throughout the day.
