Im trying to crochet a fallout blanket for my partner and im wanting to do little sewed on vaults i just cant figure out how to do it
Im struggling to describe it to google to see if patterns exist already and ive spent a few days trying to work it out myself but it’s not working out. I want it to kinda be a solid shape so i can sew on the vault numbers later on

Have you thought about doing it tapestry style? With both colours on one round to create the jutting out bits? It’s the easiest solution I can think of.
If you don’t know how to do tapestry crochet I can try to explain it or find a video but it’s really straightforward once you’ve done it once!
You can try HDC for those protrusions from the circle and just slip stitches in between them. If you want the protrusions to be less apparent, do sc instead. More protrusion, do DC and go higher if you want the protrusions to stick out more like the treble DC. Send me the pic if it works out!
