Wexham Park or Stoke Mandeville Hospital?

Hi all,
My husband and I loved to Beaconsfield in April and I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant. My care is currently under Stoke Mandeville hospital, but I am considering transferring to Wexham Park. I would appreciate anyone’s experience of giving birth in either hospital. Thanks! X

I had a really good experience at Wexham the midwives were great

Honestly, I chose Wexham because of 2 reasons- pre natal care & proximity in case I go into labor in the middle of the night. Both those things worked massively in my favour and I would choose Wexham again for those reasons. Post natal care however… appalling majority of the time with very few individuals who actually care - but i’ve not heard better things from Stoke on this topic either.

I’ve had c-sections in both, and I preferred my care at Wexham. The staff were happier and friendly, and the my room only had 4 beds in compared to 8 at Stoke.

I am due to give birth in Wexham park and so far they have been amazing

hiya i gave birth at wexham and my friend too tbh labour it was self was okay but doctors ain’t same as my friend she had to be in labour for 12 hours and did forceps delivery after that they told her not to natural delivery . my water broke 2 days before i had to be induced they didnt took me seriously because i was first time mom on 1 day my baby heartbeat was 160-200 they gave me fluids and anti sickness shot sent me back on 2nd day i went back and i ask for scan they confirm my water was broken even after that they tried to break my water twice nothing came out , they put needles 5 times in me it was struggle

I had a great experience with Wexham park with my April 25 baby and my current pregnancy too!

I’d say wexham. That’s where I am and it only takes 20 minutes with traffic from London road

Name of my baby

Hi all, would you give the same name of the baby of a friend of yours who is not very close to you but you keep talking from time to time?
We are both from Spain and our husbands are Greek. She had a baby few months ago and gave her one of our favorite name we are thinking to give to our baby (a Greek name). In the last month we are starting to love more and more that name and I am wondering if this will be offensive to her if we pick the same? my older kid really loves that name too and wants us to call our baby like that. To add on the awkwardness our first born has the same name but our is the Spanish version and hers is the Greek version!! in this case we didn’t know it and it was pure chance 👀

Reduced movements during flu/cold?

Today i found out if you have the flu or a cold you feel really under the weather and just want to lie down and rest - our babies do the same thing, their movements may be reduced because they are reserving energy, didn’t know this before but it puts my mind at ease as i had the worst flu over the past week at 37 weeks and baby girl was quite quiet ❤️🥰

I need advice

I had an internal scan on Wednesday , my LMP was 24th July 2026 so from that date I would’ve been about 6 weeks and 4 days on Wednesday. I’m having regular scans due to miscarriage before and I was having pain 2 weeks ago, but I had my scan and they can only see a gestational sac there’s still no yolk sac and fetal pole is this normal. They are saying I’m probably still so early to see it but I’ve got really bad anxiety so I’m worried about it all, my hcg is going up and my tests are getting darker but I’m still so worried. I started getting spotting Wednesday as well and nothing goes onto my pad it’s only when I wipe but it’s more red now. Yesterday my test also changed to 3+ after it being on 2-3 for 2 weeks but I done another test this morning when I woke up because of the pain and bleeding and it’s gone back down to 2-3 im really worried

Nausea

I’m 7 weeks and 4 days and the nausea just seems to be getting worse and worse. I can’t sleep, I’m going to work on 2 hours sleep if even. I’m running on empty and im crying constantly. I feel like such a failure.

Line progression?

I feel like my line progression is too slow and I’m panicking about an early loss 😭
