Zero interest in animal/sounds

Everything’s a dog or duck here. Occasionally she’ll get cat or cow right. Quack is the only noise she makes. Shes my second and hasn’t had the one on one attention from me to try and teach her things like her brother had. My first also learnt a lot through ms Rachel but as the tv is often on for her brother I don’t then put it on for her because she’s already been around screens enough.

Silly question but have you been to a farm with her? My little one loves to name animals and their sounds but we have a farm really close to us that we visit a lot, have friends that keep livestock and we spend our holidays in the countryside so this language is really meaningful to her. If your little one hasn't had this experience or exposure then maybe the language just isn't relevant and therefore of interest to her. Or it could just be that she's not an animal fan in general.
It sounds like she's doing really well with her language so I wouldn't worry too much if she's not bothered about animal sounds. If you are hugely concerned, why not have a chat with your health visitor about it? Remember, children learn differently and just because she's not copying doesn't mean there's a problem. I'm an early years teacher and know from experience that mimicry rarely equates to understanding if that makes sense.
