Do you have to go back for 3 months or is that not correct? As I don’t think I will be returning for child care reasons .. but I want to make sure I go down all the right routes before hand etc anybody decided it wasn’t for them going back? Il be taking 9 months off .. I work for optical express! X

You would still need to adhere to your contract in terms of notice e.g if you have a months notice then you’d need to let them know a month before you’re due to return. Did you take enhanced maternity leave or standard? I know that some places that offer enhanced maternity leave will make you pay back some money if you leave within a certain period of time after your maternity leave (the duration should be in your contract).

Nothing in my contract about Mat leave that I can see tbh x

There is an obligation to return if you've taken enhanced but they have to accomodate you aswell otherwise they can terminate your contract so if you were to say you have to wfh because of childcare and they say you cant then thats it

Il only be getting smp nothing else other then that x
