My ex started proceedings before I could due to legal aid waitlists and now I'm worried he will get access to the kids he was abusing. I don't have a lot of evidence and relying on my oldest telling strangers what happe ed when he's been groomed not to speak to people and lie by our abuser. What have people's experiences been?

Hello. I am in similar position. Talk with Liverpool Domestic abuse than ask them to write a letter for you. Once you get a letter go to the lawyer which they will give you a list for you choose what is best for your case. The lawyer will apply for legal aid than will be granted very quick like 2 weeks. I hope everything will be fine for you and kids.

I am in same situation as you. I had my first hearing, it is stressful but I am surviving each day.
