Is this really a "Woman of Faith" group?

So I just done reading a post where a person was genuinely asking for biblical guidance about something and y'all just jumped on her for her beliefs!! That is ridiculous!! Y'all should be ashamed or change the name of this group!!

Also with some of y'alls so called advice it showed you didn't really know the Bible. But again y'all should really change the name of this group if y'all are just gonna go jump on a Christian for their beliefs and call it hate. Smh

She wasn’t genuinely asking a question, she was being a bigot there’s a difference. No where in the bible does it say we judge it actually says the opposite. We as Christians don’t have time to be focused on other people’s journey we should be focused on what God called us to do. No one says you have to like there choices but God did say love your neighbor. Hope this helps!

Yeah it was brutal. Most of the disagreers are not members of this group or even Christians so have to take their words with a grain of salt. OP handled them graciously. They just wanted to fight. Completely inappropriate behavior being attacked for our convictions.

Unfortunately Christians and non-Christians alike tend to make Jesus a caricature of himself and don’t look at the whole picture of who Christ is and why He was sent here. We are indeed called to love one another, we do this to honor Christ, by not putting false worldly doctrines above Him.

Just want to point out that even though something is posted in the group people outside the group will still be shown the post so responses are not necessarily from within the "Women of Faith" group. I'm not in this group yet..here I am lol. Most groups are open forums.

She was asking if it’s biblically okay to disrespect someone. Really? If that isn’t clear from the Bible that using someone’s pronouns is the least you can do, I don’t think you get to call yourself a Christian!

I think some commentors were trying to get the poster to just be kind. You can be kind and respectful and still have beliefs.

A lot of times, when Christians don’t leave room for others to find their way and we judge that’s when things take a turn for the worst. Lead with kindness, that’s a big part of being a Christian.

As a person very rooted in her faith I will say this because it's not that hard.

There is only ONE way to the father. It's a narrow way and not many will come. It's in the bible. If we are reading and taking the bible as the truth as you should if you even comment on these posts about being of faith.

By calling someone by their chosen pronouns you are affirming their sins which we are called to help correct them and bring them to the Lord. You, yourself are agreeing that the Lord was wrong and they were put in the wrong body. Which is the farthest from the truth. We are created in the image of the Lord and we are perfect as we are when we come out of our mother's wombs. This next thing is going to ruffle some feathers because well people don't like to hear the truth but the whole LGBTQ whatever else is added to that is a whole mental illness and gentle help back is what we should be doing not attacking them. Or anyone because I'm sure you have your own sins you lie in!

The post you’re talking about was not someone genuinely asking for “biblical guidance,” as you say. She consistently and blindly agreed with every comment suggesting she should disregard the person’s pronouns and justifying her hateful behaviour. Yet when people quoted scripture that actually advocated kindness and compassion, she suddenly had an issue with it and wanted to debate it. She clearly had her mind made up and wasn’t looking for guidance, she was looking for other like-minded, closed-minded people to affirm the decision she’d already made. honestly, it’s people like this who are a big reason I left the religion. Religion should never be used as a justification for hate, bigotry or injustice. Yet more and more women on here seem to use their religion to justify their own prejudices and push their personal agenda, rather than actually practicing the kindness and compassion that christianity teaches. you can have whatever beliefs you wish but basic human decency should be top.

I have to get back to work but before I exit this discussion I just want to make it super clear I have no ill feelings towards Christians or LGBTQ+ people. I don't even see the two as conflicting sides/ideologies. If anything it just makes me sad to see both sides disagree so strongly while both loving and caring deeply. I know that there are some people who do come with bigotry and hate but they are by FAR the minority. I just wish there was a better way for the conversations to happen. it was nice talking to you 🙂
