Frustrated

I’ve created a horrible loop I can’t get out of
So my son feeds a lot so I started supplementing with formula at times and I would pump after his feeding
Well now he’s been crying at my breast and doesn’t feed as long and I’m noticing my supply going down.
What do I do if he doesn’t want to feed on my breast ?

Sounds like he might have bottle preference. What nipple flow do you use?

Only way to up your supply is to breastfeed more regularly, may be stressful briefly but its supply and demand so the more you let them feed the more you produce. Or I guess If you've started Formula you could just switch to that. Big advocate in breast is best though!

If you still want baby to have breast milk and he’s refusing the boob, you may have to switch to pumping only for a while to at least maintain your supply. You can still offer the boob before a bottle and he may find interest again later.

I’m having to deal with the same thing. No advice as I’m still trying to figure out but I’m so scared of him not accepting to breastfeed anymore.
I’ll try to only breastfeed (at least 99% of the time) and pump after he’s done feeding so I can try to increase my supply and he starts to get used to breastfeed again

Use premie nipples and do slow paced feeds when you’re using the bottle.

For your supply, any time you’re supplementing with a bottle, you must pump and if you’re giving a lot you’ll probably want to power pump for atleast 3 days if not more.

Also keep in mind breastfed babies should be taking bottles of more than 4 oz at a time and if your baby’s taking more than that then the feeds probably too fast.

The triggering topic of jabs!

Just want to get everyone's opinions on jabs for their babies. I would never personally attack someone for their decision but I find whenever I post about this topic I always get personally attacked for having a different perspective. For reference, we as a family don't have them through personal choice, and children are thriving and hardly ever get sick!

4 month blues

Is anyone else the other side of the 4 month regression? Looking for some light at the end of the tunnel! I genuinely don’t know how much more I can take hourly/45 minutes waking and my partner works 13 hour days and no family to come over so I can rest at all :( my LO also has terrible reflux which makes settling him to bed a long process too. I feel so sad and exhausted all the time and just want to run away!

Sleep training? Recommendations

Hi all, my 18-week-old baby is EBF and used to be a really good sleeper, but since hitting 3 months, he’s been waking almost every hour for the last 6 weeks. Usually, the boob is the only thing that settles him back down!

Has anyone used professional help or tried any of the many sleep-training courses out there? Did they work? Is my LO too young for sleep training?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated. I’m absolutely exhausted!

Weight loss whilst Breastfeeding (jabs patches etc)

Hello!
Has anyone looked into whether or not it is safe to use weight loss medication whilst breastfeeding? I only breastfeed 10:30pm-5am as she is on cows milk in the day.
I cannot seem to shift weight, I think I’m exhausted, sleep deprived and probably not eating the best.

Baby bottles for wind

I’m using mam bottles but I’m unsure how good they actually are when it comes to wind. My daughters trapped wind is awful and I’m worried the bottles aren’t helping
