Heavy periods 4 months PP plus low ferritin.

Is anyone else suffering with low ferritin PP & really heavy periods? It’s effecting my vision, energy & just generally very sore & aching all over. I’m on ferrous fumarate 210mg & eating lots of iron rich foods due to my blood work done by the NHS in 6 weeks to see if my levels are coming up. I haven’t felt myself since I gave birth. The low energy & fatigue is daily but more severe when I’m due on and whilst on my period. Any advice I’d really appreciate and not to feel so alone.

I am suffering with low ferritin too, I have lost 1.5 litres of blood during labour- they didn’t offer me any blood or plasma to restore what I have lost. I have an IUD right now, and my periods are extremely heavy and low ferritin.
The best way for ferritin to absorb is to take it with vitamin c together. 3 hours Before and after drinking ferritin tablets - to not drink tea or coffee and milk products.

Hi, I had low iron during pregnancy and then it dropped after having baby. I'm on ferrous fumerate too but have been advised to adjust diet to have more iron rich foods. Lots of spinach for me and slowly bringing back hed meat (I went off it during pregnancy)
