Hey! So just seeing if anyone else has this or has dealt with it.
Our 10 month old is PETRIFIED of the hoover and things like the mower or things that make similar noises like a bubble machine.
I really don’t think it’s the ‘loud’ aspect of these things as he loves music and some random loud noises don’t bother him at all.
He shows no other signs of anything else, he’s quite advanced ( I think ) for his age and this just seems to be the only odd thing.
We’ve started hoovering for a second whilst we hold him to show him it’s ok but he’s still scared and holds on tight, but I’m not really sure what else to do 🤔
Thank you!

my girl has sensitive ears, she used to startle and cry and now she covers her ears and says " ish too loud mommy" just be there to comfort him,
we lived by a train and it didn't so much bother her

Mine was like this until he started nursery and now nothing like this bothers him. I think it’s because it’s just him at home and me and my partner aren’t the nosiest so he wasn’t used to the noise. He loves the noise and chaos now

I do think its exposure, my son use to be the same way. Soni started to leave the hoover in the living room where he would play. I would turn it on daily. Eventually the fear went away.

My son runs away from the Hoover he’s 3 three. He knows what it is but he just doesn’t like it too much

Mine is current scared of stuffed animals. She’s also ten months old . Not really sure what that’s about lol
This may sound silly, but I’m a FTM so any advice would be appreciated 🥹
My baby is 11 days old, and at some point I would like to start going out more but I’m confused how the bottles will be sterile in a bag, I currently use the Tommee Tippee bottles and the Tommee Tippee UV steriliser but I read once they are out the steriliser they aren’t sterile anymore? Maybe I’m misunderstanding it. Just wanted some advice on what other people do 😊

We’re in the gutter of the 4 month regression. My son wakes up ever hour at night screaming. We cosleep and that has made zero difference. He doesn’t always wake up to eat sometimes he just wants us to walk him. I feel like im going insane havent slept in three weeks now. During the day he only does contact naps. Next week im going to try to get to stop doing the contact naps but im terrified that hes going to go crazy and sleep will be even worse. I’m going to do the Ferber method week. I need encouragement and tips and tricks if you have any!

My son is 20 months old, and the only words he says are mama, our dog’s name, bubba (his nickname), and yeah yeah for yes. He also does some animal sounds, uses sign language for more, eat, all done, and help, and he points to things he wants. He understands most of what I say, but he’s just not saying many words yet.
I feel like at his age he should be saying more, so I’m considering speech therapy. Have any moms had experience with speech therapy for their little ones, or have any advice? 🤍
