Struggling to prepare food for my toddler due to morning sickness

Everything makes me gag. Everything. Even a yoghurt pouch makes me gag.

How did you get through this? I'm only 6 weeks pregnant and my sickness last time lasted until 16 weeks. Help.

Oh girl I was exactly the same and it’s horrible! I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this

If you’ve got someone willing to help you (or even could you pay someone?) I had my mum spend a full day batch cooking for my toddler so all I had to was survive the microwaving of each meal and then I would sit on the opposite end of the room with a bucket while he ate so I could see him but not be too close

Happy to send you some of the recipes if you need ideas
But also know it’s totally okay if some days you need to feed them MacDonalds or whatever you can handle - this kind of pregnancy is very much about surviving and not being too hard on yourself

Oh that’s so hard I’m sorry 😩 where are you located? I’d love to help if you happen to be close by

Otherwise have you spoken to your doctors about medication options yet? I found that once I was on 3 different types of anti nausea medication plus weekly IV fluids I was well enough to deal with a handful of foods that we could rotate on the days my partner wasn’t home to cook for us 🤣

Own room

When is everyone realistically thinking of putting their babies in their own room? I feel like we would all sleep so much better if mine was in his own room by now!

Being intimate after an episiotomy

I gave birth 4 weeks ago and the delivery was difficult, my baby was in the wrong position and with the cord around her neck, but the midwife didnt check and got me to push for an hour with no luck. I then was taken to the operating room and had a forceps delivery with an episiotomy. Im now 4 weeks post partum and I am conscious of my intimate area as I can always feel it but its not exactly painful just not comfortable like it was before. A few days ago a midwife said my stitches look to have gone now and it looks healed but I know ill get it properly reviewed at the 6 week medical check. My husband and I do want to be intimate as its been a while now, but im conscious that my area doesnt look or feel the same as it did before and I dont know what it will be like when I do have sex again. Im curious what others experiences have been who have had an episiotomy.

People with 2 or more children!

What ages did your children share a room? I have a 2.5 year old who sleeps through the night no issues, and a 7 month old who currently still wakes at least once in the night and has a bottle, we have a 2 bed house so they will be sharing a room and some point but just wondering what ages people moved their youngest in with other kids !

Cold sore and baby is two weeks old

I have a tingling on my lip and I’m thinking it’s the start of a cold sore as has been the case in the past. Has anyone had this before?? How did you protect your baby from exposure? I don’t know how best to protect him. I’ve obviously stopped kissing him, but I was kissing him today before I felt this tingle. I’m worried about spreading this to him and exposure he may have already had. Is it overboard to contact the GP?

I’ll be getting patches tomorrow but want to make sure I’m doing everything I can, so if anyone has any suggestions thanks in advance!

I feel so guilty and awful that I may have exposed him. It’s second nature to kiss him now so I’m struggling a little and I’m worried I’ll slip up. I’m so angry I have to worry about this. Thanks to my grandma when I was young, I was exposed and now I have to deal with this. To those mummas saying no to people kissing their babies, keep saying no you’re doing what’s best for them!
