I wish you the best too. Be brave, and don’t let him see that you’re scared. Try not to get emotional. Just talk to him about basic things and the logistics concerning the child, and don’t react to his provocations, only talk with him about the child and just the necessary.

Talk to him in a way that you know wouldn’t be used against you if a judge were to read the messages. You can use ChatGPT for this too; it can help you remove emotion and conflict from your messages.

Keep everything in writing whenever possible. Avoid phone calls if you can, and if you can’t, record them when it is legally permitted. Keep all the evidence you have of abuse, and report anything you can that is true and appropriate.
