I feel like my eldest daughter had it around this age (shortly after starting nursery too) and I am sure we had the drops? Check your pharmacy could be that you can buy them over the counter

I think you should just take him to a doctor.

We always got drops or ointment for it. Once they are over 2 years old you can get the drops from the pharmacy

They can use eyedrops that contains antibiotic but it’s not effective as most cases are viral. Clean eyes with cotton pads and bottled water daily. It took nearly 2 weeks for my son’s conjunctivitis to resolve

Definitely take to the doc. Untreated conjunctivitis can spread and become other problems. There are appropriate treatments for this, even in neonates (the younger the baby, the more concerning this can be) it's also highly contagious to yourself and others.

If you have it, drop some breastmilk in the eye. It doesn't hurt. Also keep the eye clean with a warm, wet cloth, and take care not to contaminate the other eye if not affected. Urgent care can also treat and prescribe quickly for this. I would not wait for a future appointment, I would go get this addressed as soon as possible.

Thank you all. I managed to get some eye drops prescribed and they have also given anti biotics as his eyes are very sore. X
