Medicine

My stubborn child has a cold and a nasty cough. She refuses to take medicine, constantly spitting it out. I just got scratched, bit, pinched you name it all from trying to give her medicine with a syringe because she runs from the cup and I can control somewhat how much I dispense with the syringe. I need advice on other ways to get rid of this cold or ways to give this medicine to her. What do you other mamas do when your little one is sick?

My son is the same I have to mix his medicine with juice or pedialyte in his cup. Also pedialyte helps a lot, vapor rub, and a humidifier also helps a ton

Our ped said not to give any meds unless there is a fever. There is no proof that otc cold meds will shorten the illness. It's not worth the stress of trying to force meds since your child doesn't want it.

We liked the shower tablets with menthol in them for the stuffy nose!

Steam shower, nose rinsing (they hate it) it works great after steam bath tho. They sleep so much better. Humidifier in their room, and salin nasal spray. Thats what we all do when they are sick. It changes everything if they can breathe
