Im currently 2 months pregnant with my second baby. My first was an emergency section at 41+5 and I really struggled afterwards mentally.
How did everyone’s 2nd pregnancy go for them?

A planned section is alot easier mentally than an emergency. Ive had 2 cat 4 and a cat 3. My cat 4s were easier mentally to get over and accept what happened happened. Was planned due to me being high risk, babies weighing almost 9lb7 and just seemed mentally better for myself than the fear of them getting stuck. My cat 3 was 10 and half months ago and it was a mess and im still struggling the more it comes up to her first birthday

I had an emergency c section and now I have placenta previa so my destiny is pretty sealed for a second c section.
Therapy has helped me a lot to mentally prepare for round two.
There are long term risks and trauma associated with both options. So either way some mental prep might go a long way

My first was an emergency section and I was really sad about it, my second I was really hoping for a vbac but I had a bad placenta and a tiny baby and in the end it ended in a cat 1 section again which was terrifying at the time but it was over so quickly and she was out safe so I have made peace with it now- but I have never felt a contraction, had my waters break or any other part of labour and now after 2 sections I know If I want more babies I will never experience that! But I got skin to skin with my second section which healed a lot in me!
I’m FTM at 38 weeks today + nearly 40 years old. My blood pressure has been fine throughout the pregnancy mostly 110/70. I went for my routine midwife appointment and it was 145/90 for the first time during pregnancy. I was sent to the hospital for further monitoring and blood/urine tests as they suspected preeclampsia, the results came back fine so now they think it’s only gestational hypertension that needs monitoring. If it was preeclampsia they did mention they could have induced me today. Now I’ve just been asked to come back for further bp monitoring on Monday. What should I expect? I have been monitoring it at home and it’s still high so in panic mode..

Hi Mamas, I’d love to hear your postpartum stories. 🩵
What’s something that really stuck with you emotionally during those first weeks or months?
The good, the bad, the unexpected… what do you still remember?
I struggled with prenatal + postpartum anxiety myself, and I know how much those early experiences can stay with you.
