Anyone else feel really judged in their pregnancy, as if people feel like they can suddenly freely speak their opinions on everything? Being told how much weight I should have put on and how much weight they think I've gained. How I should feel at a particular point in my pregnancy and which parts should be the easy parts and when it should start to get harder. I just feel like everyone has a lot of opinions and expectations that they for some reason feel the need to voice and it's starting to get me down and it's coming from so many different people which is just making me not want to interact with people in general. I just think every pregnancy is different so it's really unhelpful when people compare and tell me what I should be going through. Pregnancy shouldn't be an open invitation for everyone to start weighing in on my life.

I’m so sorry for you to go through this, they shouldn’t be saying anything to you to hurt you in that way.

I think you need to start distancing yourself from them because they’ll start continuing to do so even after u give birth. I don’t know why they think they have the entitlement to comment on everything.

“You must be feeling so excited”, actually I’m kind of feeling pretty anxious right now… thanks for telling me how I should feel, and now I feel guilty for feeling anything other than excitement.
Also I had to stop using social media because it was so overwhelmingly full of “this is what you should be doing during this stage”, things you must or must not do, and then so many polarising but adamant opinions in the comments

I honestly couldnt have written this better myself. Ive become sick and tired of it myself and its like its an expectation to be feeling shit or excited at this point.... no im anxious as hell about having baby no.2 as my little boy is not adjusting very well to all the new baby stuff arriving and its causing me horrendous pain seeing him be upset with all of it
Everyone experiences pregnancy so differently and I just think you shouldn't have to justify how you feel. I've been told I shouldn't be struggling yet as I'm only 29 weeks, even though I've been in hospital due to some concern from my midwife. Also been told I must just be grateful to actually be pregnant due to a miscarriage I had last year. All really unhelpful comments and sadly coming from people I am struggling to distance from due to family and work. Genuinely sorry that I'm not the only one going through this, it just reinforces my belief that some people struggle with keeping normal boundaries around someone that happens to be pregnant.

FYI I'm 28 weeks. I've been asked if I'm having twins by about 7 strangers now and one even doubled up and asked if it is triplets. I've been told I must be ready to pop, must be any day now, told I shouldn't be walking so much, asked if I knew coke has caffeine in it and it could cause a miscarriage by a girl at work.. told announcing my pregnancy was icky by my boss even.
I've never experienced so many people completely losing their filter.
It is bizarre and completely a reflection of them, not you.
So sorry that sounds awful, it's very strange that so many people feel it's acceptable to make these comments
Surprise pregnancy! I have a 5 month old, and I've just found out I'm pregnant. 1 year and 1 month age gap. Has anybody got any advice or recommendations going forward? Double prams? etc

My best friend in the whole world is spotting at 10 weeks. Can you share your spotting stories so I can show them it doesn't have to be something scary? I remember how panicked I was when I spotted during my first trimester

Anyone else a little bit disappointed with how the 6 weeks check up went ?
I had mine yesterday and my dr literally asked me “are you okay”, “will you be taking any contraceptives” and “have you started your period yet” concerning me. Didn’t ask to see my stitches, was very rushed, when I would say anything she would just sort of shut me off before I could finish what I was saying. I would have expected there to be a more check to see how I was doing, ask to check stitches, even give leaflets of information if needed. Didn’t even say if I was now able to have sex ect. Didn’t even ask if I had any questions for her, it was just like as if she was running late for the next person. I know it might seem like I’m moaning about nothing but I’m also thinking of other mums and how this could of felt for others to with the sense of not everyone will say if there not okay and would think that follow up information on postnatal care would also be there

Anyone else had high pressure since giving birth?
I've had high blood pressure since a few days before giving birth and it hasn't come down despite delivering the baby.
I was admitted back into hospital at the weekend as it was dangerously high. I was given medication and monitored and it stabilised so was allowed home the next day.
Since then I have to monitor at home and it's still high, and getting very close to the threshold they gave me for going back into hospital 😭
They don't know what's causing it and I'm getting fed up now. Going back into hospital with baby and leaving my toddler at home is horrible 😢
