Advice please!

My daughter has learned the word no and will not listen! She just turned two in August! Punishments are timeout (only for like 2 minutes or so not crazy long), or sent to her room (door is never closed) depending on what she did. If I say no she laughs and ignores me. Everyone says it’s just a phase and to listen when she tells me no but certain things I feel like she needs to be taught not to say no. I love that she is talking but man my baby girl is sassy lol 😂

my son is the same way!! everything is NO😭 not a single thing is “yes” lol. and if we tell him no in ANY way, doesn’t matter how we say it, he won’t listen or he will completely melt down. he turned 2 in august. it has been rough. the endless tantrums have been driving us up the wall. i’m right there with you about not knowing much to do😭😭 we do timeouts as well also cause i need to just take a minute myself as well💀 i’m hoping its just a phase and we just continue to be firm with him in what we say.
goodluck to u mama!! going through it with u 😂

It’s honestly just the age. My son is the same way right now. I literally had a whole mental breakdown yesterday because of it. My oldest was the same way though, and he is such an easy kid now that he is older. 2-4 is just HARD! I’m sending you all the strength to get through it! I hope it helps to know we’re all in the trenches together 🤣

Definitely an age thing. It is important to show them that their no matters. But in certain situations like changing their diaper or brushing teeth I don't give them the option to say no. Instead I let them make the choice like "Do you wanna change your diaper in your room or in yhe bathroom?"

Definitely age. My son turned 2 in August and it’s been a complete 180 on his attitude. Sudden tantrums, attempted hitting. Ughhh

As someone with a willful 4yo girl and 2yo girl… There is educational power behind physically moving them/forcing them to obey! Kind of like how you’re supposed to just steadfastly replace them into their crib whenever they climb out. Whenever you tell her to do something and she thinks she can get away with it, make her. Soon she will be too big for you to easily carry her in front of the sink to wash her hands, for example.
It instructs her that she can either obey and do it peacefully herself or she will be forced to do it anyway.

Help!!!!

Someone please help me with some advice because I’m losing my absolute mind 😭
Baby is 5 months old, she has changed a lot in personality over the last month, more needy, sleep changes etc but have put it down to the 4 month regression and teething.
However, the problem that makes me want to literally cry is the car seat! She is totally inconsolable now every time she’s in the car. Why? And what can I do to help it?!

PP things I hate

Everything is stress induced anymore
My daughter has this ongoing diarrhea for 2 weeks now and I’ve gotten no sleep from it, I now have a canker sore from it, my acid reflux has more flare ups than ever. I don’t like having sex anymore (I love my partner and I still find him very attractive). Im way too overly touched (by the baby, by the dog and by him). Im 10m pp and I haven’t been able to wear a dang tampon! I don’t do pads because they are just not for me so I wear a diaper.
Please tell me if you relate to any of this at all? Or if I’m just crazy

Sleep regression solidarity

Anyone else’s little one been hit by sleep regression like a ton of bricks? 🙃.

Baby girl was sleeping so well then this past week has been struggling, last night was WILD. We are currently running on caffeine and vibes 😅✌️.

We can do this mamas.

Anyone else feel like as soon as their baby turned 8m old they are acting like a completely different baby? She's become noticeably more difficult as far as behavior.

Please tell me what your experience is with your 8m old.

Mum guilt

My baby has a really awful latch and breastfeeding can be quite uncomfortable. I’ve had help from the infant feeding team and it’s improved but still not great. He doesn’t have a tongue tie.

I think he swallows down a lot of air, he always has trapped wind and an uncomfortable tummy, he fusses and grunts all night long, never burps after feeds. He’s always congested and has hiccups all the time.

I have a fast letdown so I think that also contributes. I’m really really considering switching to formula but the guilt that comes alongside that is killing me.

My eldest was breastfed for 8 months so I feel so shameful considering quitting at just 4 weeks with second baby. I also feel a huge responsibility to keep breastfeeding through winter for the immune system and health benefits.

I’m just really not enjoying breastfeeding this time and it’s making me miserable.

Any tips?
