Temporary Accommodation Help 🇬🇧
IDK if anyone can advise or help but Me and my 2 toddlers got moved to temporary accommodation following DV with their dad. I am so so grateful to even have been given somewhere to get away from him. It is okay. But the fridge-freezer has been broken since the start so not able to buy any frozen items and so food hardly lasts but no one has replaced or fixed, i call every week and they say they’ll get back to me. There is also no washing machine, again not got back to me on whether they will put one or if I need to get my own somehow?! The place has residual smoke smell too that every time I come home it’s soo strong and I worry about us breathing it in. Has anyone else been or anyone else in temporary accommodation right now and know what i can do?! It’s so so hard with these problems with toddlers 😭😭😭

Hey im also in tempory accommodation with a toddler its not the best but not the worst either. its a 1 bed flat so its pretty cramped. Dont know when il get moved 😕 sounds like things r really tough 4 u right now. And its terrible they havnt come 2 replace things that r broken that u need as its a matter of ur children's health if the fridge freezer isn't working. Iv been in mine 4 2 years. My son is 15MO so we definitely need a bigger place I cant imagine how it must be for u having 2 toddlers and going thru DV. Well done for getting away! U did what's right 4 u and ur children. All I can say is maybe go 2 the council and demand them 2 sort things out!
