In a toxic relationship but with rent prices I cant afford to leave.. any advice

Are you able to go ur neighbors when he isn’t home with you ? So you can call and let them give u suggestions

this is not just a ‘toxic’ relationship, it is an abusive one. you need to leave and immediately, you are actively putting yourself and your child/children, unborn or otherwise, in danger every second you choose to stay in a house with that man. you do not have to have access to a phone in the moment that it happens to make a police report, you can do it at any time. the housing list is long, no doubt, but if you’re in the UK and actively homeless or at risk of homelessness then you will be housed temporarily. You are also prioritised when escaping domestic abuse/violence and offered so much support around that. The reason you’re on the list for so long is likely because you haven’t admitted domestic violence and you’re not homeless, so they do not know to prioritise you. x
