Baby Rolled off the bed

Has anyone’s babies in the past rolled off the bed? I just went away for a few seconds and in no time I heard a loud sound, turns out baby boy rolled off the bed.

I can’t forgive myself right now and I’m feeling extremely depressed about this. I can’t take my mind off it and makes me feel like I couldn’t take the responsibility of being a mother. It happened within a split second. My husband is so disappointed at me and we’re not talking to each other.

I feel like there’s going to be so much judgement about me if this is shared with friends and family. I don’t know, maybe I’m overthinking it all. Best to not share this news.

Any tips on how to overcome this feeling? Has anyone felt the same way? The scene is constantly replaying in my head. The doc checked his head and everything is fine, he’s been smiling all day but I cannot get over what happened 💔

How old is the baby and where was your husband? I'm sorry this happened as long as baby is healthy and happy your doing a good job stuff like this happens they have a whole life of scrapes and bruises and bumps as long as your there to remind them everything is okay. This is my biggest fear too and why I make sure to leave my daughter in the middle of the bed no matter what. Your a great mother and your learning along the way, no one knows how to everything first time. Dont beat yourself up 🫶🏼🫶🏼

My baby had the same incident a month ago and let me reassure you babies do fall they will fall in near future when they grow and become those naughty toddlers there will be rarely single days when something does not happens....dont be this hard on yourself...babies are made this way to survive you cant hawk on you child for 24*7 give yourself time be gentle with yourself you are doing amazing and if you feel you will be judged by family just dont share it

Mine rolled off the bed this week too, he cried, then I cried, then I called my husband at work to confess my crime 😂😭
Thankfully he was super measured, as reminded me as long as he was consolable (I think it’s anything after 20 mins that’s a concern, there was no huge lump, they didn’t pass out, become vomitty or sleepy, you’re fine!
I then called my mum to have another cry and she basically said not to worry and that I fell off the bed loads of times 😂😐
