I have been told I’ll most likely be getting induced as a first time mum. What’s everyone’s experience like what an induction, and a baloon one too😐

That’s a stressful thing to be told! Without a medical reason or getting to 42 weeks it’s not necessary and leads to more interventions.
I really had to stand my ground with my local hospital because they love to induce on the NHS.

Didnt have the baloon. I was induced because my waters leaked on my due date and never burst. Induction can make labour more painful (I didnt find it too bad). So take pain meds if you like, relaxing as much as possible helps. If you end up on the drip get an epidural!

I was induced and had the balloon it worked and was more natural than the pessary. I want to give advice… if they ask to break your waters to speed things up… I personally would say no. I had the choice and regret saying yes.
I had this happen and it caused the labour to progress too fast with unbearable pain and they ended up giving an injection to slow things down. It all ended in an emergency c section as I was stuck at 7cm for 12hrs

I was induced due to lack of movement a week before my due date. However I had the Jel twice then on my due date had an emergency c section as he poo in me and his heart rate went up. I also had to have the hormone drip as when my waters did break I didn’t feel anything x

I was induced 3 days before 40weeks due to baby measuring “big”
I agreed because I was so ready to meet my daughter and I had heard some successful induction births.
My daughter didn’t respond well to the 1st medication they gave me her heart rate would come down they kept flipping me like a tortilla
They placed that balloon in me manually with the help of a midwife her hand 🖐️ felt like it was all they way in my stomach lol that balloon felt odd but it dilated me to a 5 overnight
Long story short 2 epidurals later 4 hrs of pushing in all different types of positions we went in for a emergency c section my daughter turned her face and got stuck and stoped descending 🫠🫠🫠 almost 48hrs of labor
If I could redo I’d wait longer and see if my body would have gone into labor on its own but that all depends if there isn’t any health issues of course
When did you move your baby into their own room? My baby is now 6 months old and this morning I found him on his stomach in his next to me. He can roll both ways but hasn’t got the understanding that he can’t always roll in the direction he wants to. I worry about SIDS with him being on his stomach. I have anxiety about moving him into his own room because I can’t just look over and check he’s ok and breathing. Has anyone else experienced this and when did you move your baby into their room?

Hey everyone!
Anyone experienced shoulder pain during pregnancy?
I’m reading all these things online and I’m starting to freak out as I am not sure if it’s because of training or something more serious. It’s not at the tip of the shoulder and don’t have any bleeding.
My scan is on the 5th of November! I am about 5 weeks ish

Any recommendations for underwear after a c section that you can wear after 6 weeks that aren't ugly and wont irritate scar! Sick of wearing the 'Bridget Jones' knickers.
