Had a growth scan today at 36 weeks and baby is measuring 7lbs and 9oz. The doctor has said they would like me to have an induction at 38 weeks which I’m happy to do but also not opposed to having a c section. Can anyone offer any advice or previous similar experiences! Thanks x

All I would advise is to take these scans with a pinch of salt and lean into your mumma instincts. I had the opposite, I was told I was going to have a 7lb baby, who turned out to be born at 5lbs full term.

I think it depends on your trust. I had 36 week scan a few days ago and my baby weighing 8 pounds 12 😭 they won’t induce until 39 but I feel 40+ weeks already and praying for labour to start naturally any day now! X

I was told the same at 36 weeks. My son came out at 8lb9 at 39+4. I had elective section, which was the best decision I ever made. Although it doesn’t happen to everyone, I’ve heard enough bad stories about how torturous inductions can be to the mum. Plus with a section all the risk lay with me and not my son, where being a small person having a big baby meant vaginally there was risk to him getting stuck, fracture shoulders etc. As said above, take it with a pinch of salt and go with what you feel is best x

Has the doctor said why they would like to induce you at 38weeks? Is it for a medical reason ?
I also had a baby measuring big but never was suggested any intervention. I went into labour naturally at 40weeks+5days when my water broke at home. My baby was born 8lbs13oz so she was indeed a big baby

Take the scans with a pinch of salt and go with your gut. I was told my daughter was going to be over 10lbs and told I’d be induced at 40 weeks if I hadn’t had her naturally. She came at 39+4 and was 7lb 6oz 😂. My partner had to go on an emergency shopping trip because we had prepared for a big baby and none of the clothes we had fit her 😂.

I'm meant to be induced at 38 weeks on Monday but my girl is still breech so I've been booked in for c-sec on Wednesday instead x

I would take some time to do some reading and think about it. Induction for Suspected big baby goes against the NICE guidelines

A big baby is not a reason to induce according to the NICE guidelines that governs NHS maternity system. Also these last scans are not always correct- I was projected to have a 10lbs baby and he came out in his own time at 7.6lbs!
So my boyfriend recently has been having wet dreams an I tried to bring it up to him an he tells me he doesn’t an never has an I been recording wut he says in his sleep an I caught him saying booty an then uh I keep bringing it up to him cuz it makes me not be able to sleep cuz he’s doing things in his sleep I don’t know what to do

Hey everyone!
Anyone experienced shoulder pain during pregnancy?
I’m reading all these things online and I’m starting to freak out as I am not sure if it’s because of training or something more serious. It’s not at the tip of the shoulder and don’t have any bleeding.
My scan is on the 5th of November! I am about 5 weeks ish

I have been told I’ll most likely be getting induced as a first time mum. What’s everyone’s experience like what an induction, and a baloon one too😐

Really think I'm having line eyes. Can someone invert this to see if they can see anything?
