39 weeks and I need to get this baby out before half term 😩 any advice??

I would love for my family to meet baby and they will only get a chance to meet baby if baby comes before half term so they can do the 6 hours drive down to us and book an air b&b. We got luckily with my first that she was born a week before Christmas so they got to meet her during the Christmas holidays!
Would appreciate some tips and advices!

In the same boat, 39 weeks also!

Are you getting any crampy feelings?

I just had my baby a couple of days ago and I like to think this combination of oxytocin-inducing things helped the day before:
- went for a nice long walk (45 mins round trip, so not insanely long but enough to hit 10k steps for the first time in a long time
- bounded on the birthing ball to be favourite playlist
- took a lovely ridiculously long, hot shower with my favourite songs blasting like a mad woman
- special fun time to end the evening with hubby...

I swear I overloaded my body with oxytocin from all these things in one night! (I'd also done a couple of weeks of red raspberry leaf tea and eating dates...)

My contractions started at 7:45am the following morning and baby finally arrived just before midnight on the same day. I was 38+6 x

Big Baby!

Had a growth scan today at 36 weeks and baby is measuring 7lbs and 9oz. The doctor has said they would like me to have an induction at 38 weeks which I’m happy to do but also not opposed to having a c section. Can anyone offer any advice or previous similar experiences! Thanks x

Positive birth story

At 3:17am Thursday my 2nd boy Vinny was born 🥰. Such a positive experience this time. I had what I thought was cramping for 24 hours beforehand but was in denial that it was real labour as contractions never got below 5 minutes apart. Eventually rang the birth unit and arrived at 3am thinking I would be sent home. The minute I arrived, my body started pushing and within 17 minutes, baby boy was born 🥰 I was 40W+5.
Good luck to all the other mamas due soon ❤️

Private room post birth

Hi,

After I give birth I was wondering if I can request a private room (Idm paying for it) I read somewhere it can be like 100/200 per night. To clarify I don't want to give birth privately in an NHS hospital. I just think I might want some privacy afterwards. Does anyone know if all hospitals offer this and how do we go about requesting this?

Thanks a lot in advance

Vagina!

Sorry to be graphic but I’m 7 weeks PP and for the first time I’ve looked down there with a mirror and I’m in shock!

It looks so different and I can practically see the inside of my vagina, has anyone has a similar experience?

Me and my partner are going to have sex tomorrow for the first time and now I’m worried.
