Autism signs ??

Hi, I am worried that my son has autism. I am a FTM and my baby boy is 2 years old. He can say a few words , but I wouldn’t say 50. He is always stimming “EeEe” , He sometimes responds to his name, he sometimes keep eye contact. He flaps his arms, he had trouble staying sleep & I am exhausted it’s been going on for months😩 I love my baby , but lately it’s been a lot to handle with the tantrums , he often stiffens his body when he’s upsets and kicks . Is this normal behavior for a 2 year old , or could these be signs of autism?

The rough thing with diagnosing toddlers is this can definitely be normal toddler behavior. HOWEVER, you know your baby best! Do your research on how autism presents in toddlers and on coping mechanisms. The great thing about coping mechanisms is they're good for everyone! If you genuinely think he has autism, I would take him to the doctor. If he does have it he could get a speech pathologist and behavioral therapist to help him as he grows and to help you. Both of my younger brothers have autism, but they're both adults now, so I honestly can't remember how they presented when they were that small. 😅

My boy has autism and he was delayed, started walking at 1.5 yrs, talking at 2 yrs, he flaps his arms, screams (because he can’t communicate) lines things up, food aversions

2 is a tough age, regardless of autism. It can also be hard to tell what behaviour is autism and whats normal tantrums. And not every autistic child presents the same, my oldest is AuDHD and he was walking by 9 months, speaking in full sentences by 12 months, usually answers to his name, sometimes gives eye contact, but at 2 the biggest signs was that he played with his toys by lining them up in categories, no imaginative play until about 4/5 years old. Definitely worth asking you HV/GP or his nursery if he has one what they think and if you could get a referral.

Your child will talk when ready. Every child is different. Sometimes they just don't want to talk

Advice Please 🙏 Cosatto Close to me Crib

Hey!!

I’m getting the Cosatto Close to Me Folding Bedside Crib for when my little girls here.

I was just wondering if anyone has this crib already, what did you do for waterproof mattress protectors and crib sheets?

The mattress size isn’t a normal size and I can’t find specific Cosatto ones anywhere, so not sure what to do 🫣

Thank you in advance Xx

Nursing tops?

Thinking of getting a couple of cheap nursing tops - I'm a FTM due in a couple of months.
Honestly I usually just wear leggings and jumpers so I'm wondering if I can just get away with wearing my usual and lifting my top of out of the way? But would nursing tops / jumpers be more practical?
Tempted to buy a couple but also things are getting so pricey now so I don't want to buy things unnecessarily?
