Bottle recommendations

im begging at this point! Please someone recommend me some bottles for my son. Hes a month old snd for the past two weeks we’ve really been struggling with feeding. He gulps so much air and gets so upset throwing himself backwards and needing a burp within seconds. Some bottles he can be ok with but otherwise hes just so uncomfortable. We tried tommee tippee, mam and we now have mam with lansinoh teats, the teats worked for a few days but we’re back to screaming a lot. Its horrible to see him like this

Have you tried pace feeding, my little one did the exact same for the first month, we tried pace feeding and she stopped guzzling and was taking less air in x

I changed to NUK perfect match teats after they were recommended to me as my son was in between sizes and I wish I’d used them from the start. He fed so much better on them. They also fit Tommee Tippee bottles.

Ours did the same, we got the avent natural response with the airfree vent, it helps fill the teat with milk to reduce air being gulped, teat 2

She still needed to be upright for about 20 minutes before being horizontal, and lots of burping to try and get anything out

We also pace fed too, but seems you do that anyway bless you

Tv time

A little bit of a confession honestly 🫣 my little girl is 9 weeks and watches the tv sometimes, only really early in the morning when she’s wide awake but I’m still exhausted or before we do our bedtime bath if she’s being cranky while I do the nightly reset and get all her stuff ready, usually it’s just whatever show I’m watching at the time or sometimes Bluey

How much will it actually affect her? She’s not close to the tv and we won’t be doing screens like tablets or phones for a long long while, honestly half the time I don’t even think she’s actually watching it but it makes me feel kinda guilty

Does anyone have a parent and world facing stroller that's great on all terrains?

1 year baby behaviour

Our daughter turned 1 last week and for the last week (or so) she has been particularly "whiney". When we stop her doing something dangerous (obviously), she tantrums, throws herself back crying and kicking; she wants to climb all over me and is getting a little bitey which she thinks is a game when I say no, but if I move myself/her she whinges and tantrums again; she whinges to be up on my lap but then takes herself down and whinges because she's on the floor; she is screaming to go in the car seat and straightening her back. This is all new behaviour over the last 1-2 weeks. Is this normal for this age? Is it a phase? Is there anything we can do? As a ftm who has just gone back to work, im already feeling guilty and emotional and i cant help but worry that she's unhappy 😭

Advice / Reassurance

Hi fellow mums!

I’m a FTM and my little girl is 6 weeks old today. We are exclusively breastfeeding which has been going really well, she’s gained weight beautifully and really healthy in that department.

I know around this time they say babies hit peak fussiness, but I feel like since around 3 weeks most of her awake time she spends crying, for a while I thought maybe it was trapped gas or something like that but we always seem to be able to get that up if there is anything / I am always trying to watch her cues and ensuring she isn’t getting overtired too quickly, and this works most of the time but isn’t always easy when out and about. It always feels like I can’t soothe her or get her to sleep, she just seems to cry when I try, but my partner is able to settle her almost instantly. It makes me really sad because I feel like I can’t soothe her and as her mum I so want to be able to do that, it’s worse in the evening too.
Over the past few days she no longer likes her car seat or her pram, which is making me loose my confidence in leaving the house which is having a negative affect on my mental health, I also lost a very close family member 2 days ago so feeling very fragile at the moment and I am just looking for advice from anyone who’s a couple of weeks ahead or anyone who’s been through this before/had similar experiences. I don’t know if she’s just being extra fussy at the moment and always fighting sleep, I don’t know if she can smell my milk or if I’m doing something wrong… I just feel a bit deflated.

Free range while showering

This is a super specific question for mamas with older kiddos. At what age did you let then have free reign in the house while you showered?

My son is 11.5 months but is fully mobile. I'm usually home alone when I shower. He gets frustrated with being kept in the bathroom with me but is also too squirmy for him to shower with me (plus I don't get in a good shower). On the flip side, I'm terrified that he'll hurt himself if I let him just wander around the house alone, even with baby gates and whatnot.

What do I doooo?
