Our classroom is almost complete
This is our mini library, we are almost done with the classroom. This is my first strict year of homeschooling, we are going to go kind a hard from pre k and kindergarten and then will go into unschooling for first grade!

Just curious... why go hard for pre-k and kindergarten and then unschooling? Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of unschooling?

Because I want him to know how to read and spell. I want him to know the basics which will greatly help him in unschooling, plus our pre k is still kinda unschooling. He has asked to learn how to read and write, so he can play his games on his own and so he can write letters to his cousin. He also loves reading books. I don’t push him “hard” we go as long as he wants and then we stop. Within the past two weeks he has already gained ground. He catches onto things quickly. This week we will learn about building roads because he’s obsessed. It’s kind of a mix of both
