Just the big ones... car seat, bed, diapers and other toiletries, prepped meals, blankets, clothes washed, pacifiers sterilized, batteries...

Don’t stress too much. If you have forgotten something, it won’t take long for someone to pop to the shops for you to grab anything.

I agree! You think you need so much for the little one but you don’t. So don’t stress. Here are a few things I used the first couple weeks:
-Undershirts that open in the front/snap on the side with opening at the bellybutton for the stump so it doesn’t rub.
-2-3 swaddles
-3-6 nightgowns with elastic bottoms
-3 washcloths/ mitts
— 2-3 hooded towels
-12 burp cloths (you use more than you think)
- diapers bag
- diapers(don’t get a ton of the newborn size, you never know how long you will be using them)
- the hospital might give you some diapers, toiletries, wash basin (at least mine did)
- hats (their head needs to be covered)
- mittens (they scratch themselves)
-4 4 oz bottles (my little one was formula fed) I waited to buy formula until I knew what the hospital had given her, plus they gave me a lot of premade bottles and cans of formula powder.
-Boppy/nursing pillow

Hope that helps! You got this girl!! Congratulations!!!

Has anyone found it hard to get pregnant again after a c section?

Private vs. NHS?

What is everyone doing? I’m a first time mom, IVF baby and I need to get a c-section. I always thought I would do private to get the extra care as I’m extremely anxious… until I looked at the cost.

I’m registered at the Westminster and Chelsea hospital. Any experiences? Did anyone not feel enough support with NHS only?
If you got private scans, where did you get them?

Contractions with closed cervix

I’ve been up at triage overnight since yesterday morning for movements. On the ctg and what I can feel is tightening/contractions and they’re in the high 50s/60s on the toco readings. The doctor checked my cervix because of this but it’s closed still, but I can still see them happening on the toco machine. They’ve also seen I have excess fluid around baby. I’m going home soon but it just worries me a little. Any information or advice would be great

Crazy contractions last night

Is this early/false labour - last night I had regular cramps which progressed into huge pressures. Started every 10 mins down to eventually every 2 mins. Was about to wake up my husband & get going but baby then did a huge somersaulting flip & they started to calm down. They went from every 2 mins, back to every 5, every 10 then eventually stopped.

Was baby just pushing on something to bring on braxton hicks or was that a false labour thing?
