Okay ladies I need help. I’m going on a strike against makeup (aside from mascara and eyebrow powder), because every time I put it on my skin breaks out horribly. I’m expecting a boy too and I was told they make your skin look good! I feel betrayed lol. Any tips on getting rid of acne during pregnancy? What face wash did you use? Use any serums or creams? Before getting pregnant I had a whole skincare process with retinol and other serums, but I obviously do not use them anymore since it’s dangerous for the baby, and they would keep my skin so clear. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I promote some good products, that should help you out

I kept the same routine sans retinol and my skin has been fine.

I used Tula face wash and toner (glycolic acid base) and Clinique face wash (also glycolic acid) if I had a breakout, it was mostly on my chin, I would use a small amount of benzoyl peroxide, but not everyday. My doctor told me to stay away from salicylic acid

I’m an esthetician and when I got pregnant my skin chest and butt freaked out on me 😑 I switched my routine as well since I have access to professional products I couldn’t do my peels and retinols. I have acne prone skin that scars easily so I replaced all my retinols products with brightening products, vitamin c, and enzymes. I highly recommend Rhonda Allison Brightening cleanser or Beta Green Tea Cleanser(it contains salicylic I promise you it’s fine unless you have some sort of risk that your doctor says don’t use but it doesn’t thin skin like retinol or affect the body, it literally breaks down oil in the pores) The Rhonda Allison brand overall is a life saver.

Tbh taking callogen everyday has helped my skin SO MUCH! I broke out really bad with my first, and I had to go to a dermatologist for prescriptions. This time around I wanted to be more natural, so I started the callogen daily and I wash with an all natural bark soap. I also hate wearing make up, and I've noticed a huge difference with my skin this pregnancy! I still get a lil pimple every now and then, but I've noticed a dramatic difference tho!

I had terrible outbreaks up until about 26 weeks - hormones! And then a friend recommended CeraVe and fingers crossed it’s worked absolute wonders! I have sensitive skin anyhow but pregnancy hormones have really effected my skin... this has been great for me x

I broke out so bad in the beginning of my pregnancy I couldn’t even touch my face . I use the Kate Somerville daily acne cleanser and it helped a lot. Now I’m just dealing with dry skin but I use rose oil and that helps a lot also with acne.
