Why profile photos matter

Peanut is built on trust, safety, and connection. Your profile photo is one of the first things someone sees when they discover your page and it helps other women know they’re chatting with a real person in a safe space.

We want everyone to feel comfortable, respected and supported while connecting, so it's important that your photo follows our Community Guidelines.

What kinds of photos do we love to see?

We’re all about authenticity - so your photo should represent you! Here’s what’s totally okay:

  • A clear photo of just you - it helps other women feel more comfortable starting conversations
  • Pics with your baby, bump, or pet - if you’re comfortable, we love seeing what lights up your life
  • A fun mirror selfie or casual snap - keep it real, keep it you
  • Photos where you feel confident - whether you’re glammed up or cozy at home!
  • Creative expressions of you - illustrations or avatars are okay if they represent you
  • A neutral or scenic photo - if you're not quite ready to share your face yet

What kinds of profile photos aren’t allowed?

We love expression and individuality, but some things just aren’t right for Peanut. Here’s what not to upload:

  • Nudity or sexually suggestive content
  • Photos showing illegal substances
  • Violent or graphic imagery
  • Offensive symbols or hate speech
  • Advertising of your business, products or services
  • Images of someone other than yourself for the purpose of impersonation or bullying
  • Anything showing someone's personal information
  • Images of someone else's content posted without permission
If your profile photo doesn’t follow our guidelines, we may remove it and repeated issues can lead to a temporary or permanent block.

Need to update your photo?

No problem! Just head to your profile on the top left > edit > tap the plus icon and take or upload a new pic that feels right for you and aligns with our guidelines.

If you need help updating your photo, please send us a message at support@teampeanut.com

If you ever spot a profile photo that makes you uncomfortable, you can report it directly in the app - just tap the three dots on the profile and choose the appropriate report option. Our moderation team will take it from there.
Together, we’re building a space on Peanut that’s safe, inclusive, and uniquely ours. Thanks for being part of it 💛
