Common illness

Sick!

Hi ladies! I’m 13 weeks pregnant and starting to feel sick. I have a fever of 99.3° which I know isn’t that bad but I’m worried about it getting worse. I’m taking Tylenol to manage my fever but what else is safe? Is there risk to my baby?

Baby sleep

3 month old fights sleep

I’m a new mom and I feel overwhelmed when my baby fights sleep. I feel like I’m the only one struggling this much. Does anyone else feel this way? I’ve done it all, monitored her sleep to make sure she doesn’t go into overtired, rocked, shooshed, bounced, slow transitions. I’m feeling really overwhelmed.

Weird question

Okay so this might sound weird. I’m trying to figure out if my hormones are off or if what I’m feeling is actually valid haha. I recently got a car off Facebook marketplace, my brother is a mechanic and did an inspection on it before buying and gave me an estimate of what it would cost for repairs. Major repair needed was a catalytic converter (I have a Volvo so there’s 3 parts to the catalytic converter) but only one side of it was bad so only one part was needed, he quoted me 500 for that plus more minor repairs and said he’d do the labor for free. It’s been over a month that I’ve had the car now and since then he has not found the time to work on my car - because of this another side of my converter needs replacing and he told me I’d have to get another part ordered which would be an additional 400. Apparently they have a domino effect and when one goes out the others follow if it’s not fixed. Since then I’ve gotten all the parts and things needed for repairs. I’ve cancelled 2 prenatal check ups as well so I don’t have to drive as much. He is now telling me that he has to check with his wife to see when he will have the time to work on it and if she has other plans for them. Granted I love his wife, she’s become my best friend. At the same time though I do not know why he needs to ask if he can take a few hours out of their weekend to work on my car especially since it’s been put off so long and I’ve sent so much money. They both know I’m a single mom that can’t afford much and I’ve gone way over budget with the extra part already (and that my doctor has told me to start getting ready for labor because a week and a half ago he said my baby has dropped and is getting ready to come out). I also have to get the registration done before she’s born as well and the check engine light is on so repairs are very important so I can do that. Am I overreacting by being upset at him that he can’t just tell his wife that he will have to take a day to help me especially when he promised he would? I brought him to the meet before I bought the car too to make sure he would be able to do everything and told him I’d only buy it if he could guarantee that we would have it done in time and he said I could count on him.

Single parents

Dating again..

So my little girl is 19months now, I have been single around 2 years, myself and her dad separated before she was born. He has no contact with her (his choice, moved away). I work part time, have a great support network, and I feel like I am in a really good routine with my daughter and life itself. Only thing I am struggling with is feeling lonely, lack of sexual chemistry with someone, having fun etc. Mentally I feel as though I am ready to date again.. so I joined an online dating app, been speaking to a guy for a couple of weeks now, and he wants to go out this Saturday.. All of a sudden my anxiety is through the roof, I have 0 confidence, I can’t concentrate, feel like I’m loosing the plot.

Prior to him asking to go on a date, I was absolutely fine. Is this normal, do I go on the date?

Any advice much appreciated x
