Baby milestones

15 months (12 months corrected)

Hunter was born premature at 27+4 and has no interest in talking. He’s behind on speech for his age,any suggestions or if anyone’s little ones have been in the same boat?

Baby sleep

Nursery

Last settling in day today and starts 3 days a week from Tuesday. I’m nervous, excited for him to make friends, worried. I just think I have all the feelings about him starting now it’s actually come to it.

He did really well on his settling in days just didn’t nap due to excitement so have ended up with days were he’s having 5/6 wake windows because of it. Anyone have any tips?

Other

Weaning

Hello, can I just ask you all when you started weaning your preemie please? I thought I would start around 6 months corrected age but we had a check in with our Consultant the other day and she said to start at 4 months actual age ie) now. I don't think my little one is ready yet as even though she is showing some cues such as keeping her own head up well and showing interest in what we are eating, she's not yet sitting up unaided or chewing on toys. Please share your experiences, I would be so grateful!

Support and advice

Hi All, I was taken into hospital  with pre eclampsia and had to have an emergency  c section at 28 weeks . My little girl is now 3 days old , I would really appreciate  some support  and advice .I am really struggling with it . She currently needs support with her breathing  but they say she is stable. I am still very unwell and on a ward on a different  floor to her and can't see her much. The midwives keep telling me to focus on getting better but it just so hard . I keep crying and I don't really no why , I feel really lonely without her . I feel like I missed out on experiencing the joy of pregnancy and feel I'm grieving my pregnancy.  I know that she is in the best place and there was nothing  I could of done to stop this but I feel like it's all my fault and I'm a bad mum.
