Nashville Babysitting Exchange

We really need help. Our family nanny for our 5 month old was injured and she can’t lift the baby anymore. I work occasional week days and both of us work nights. My parents live 30 minutes away, do not have a car seat, and BOTH still work full time. They offered to help but I don’t feel they’re reliable and we are sometimes working late.

Should we try daycare? Is there a good one you’d recommend? Are there any nannies you recommend? Should we try and switch our work schedules so we can stay home?

I think if I had a preference I would love a nanny that does not mind working late. We have a spare bedroom and we will pay extra for late hours!!!

What are everyone’s tricks and tips for getting things done with kiddos. I’m finding it much harder with two now. Sometimes I just want to eat! Haha. But I only have two hands, so...

I’d love to have someone who comes over just for short times. Or figure out a great way to balance it all on my own. It’s tough!

So what’s your technique? Does anyone use a regular sitter?

Hey guys I’m new to area and I have a cousin coming in town next Saturday for the day. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to watch my two kiddos just for a few hours so I could go out and maybe grab some lunch or something with her. I live in Nashville. I can come to you if your not to far or you can come to my house. Will need to be okay with a dog. I have an almost 5 year old boy and an almost 6 month old girl.

So I work from home, teaching in the early hours of the morning, while my husband works 3rd shift. Anyone else work opposite shifts with their spouse?

I’m trying to work on building up my business on the side, but since being up at 4am to chasing a toddler around all day, doing all the chores and cooking... it’s been hard to find any time to even rest, much less do more work.

What do you all do? I’m curious if anyone wanted to try exchanging a day a week or every other week so some of us can get some work done or rest 😂.
