Babysitting!

Hey guys I’m new to area and I have a cousin coming in town next Saturday for the day. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to watch my two kiddos just for a few hours so I could go out and maybe grab some lunch or something with her. I live in Nashville. I can come to you if your not to far or you can come to my house. Will need to be okay with a dog. I have an almost 5 year old boy and an almost 6 month old girl.

MIL help

In my spare time to make some extra money I drive uber to help my partner pay for my school yesterday was the first time sense I was hospitalized for pp complications my MIL watched our son. She was with him for only 4 hours, he’s 5 weeks 2 days and when my partner went to pick him up after his shift at work was over she said to him “if she can’t get him to stop crying just to be held I’m not watching him for you guys anymore” I’ve been told my multiple ppl and everything I’ve read says he’s simply just not old enough to self regulate yet. So now my partner feels like I’ve “spoiled him” and wants me to let him “cry it out” sense his mom is adamant that’s what she did with her 2 sons but it hurts my heart to let him sit there and cry when all he wants is comfort. Any advice or thoughts on what to do… me and him are very good with communication but this seems to have caused a disconnect and I feel like I’m being blamed for a new born crying when that’s simply what they do.

Mixed emotions

Hey guys, I’m really struggling with my emotions atm. I recently found out I’m pregnant with baby number 3, and don’t get me wrong, I am so happy to be welcoming another baby… I just didn’t think it would happen so soon, as it took us 2 years to conceive both of our other children (this time literally took a couple of months).

I can’t help but feel so disheartened that I can’t fully join in on the events we had/ have planned. My best friend has asked me to join her for some drinks for the past 3 weekends and I’ve had to think of an excuse each time to say no.

I know that this probably sounds so stupid, and might come across ungrateful for the life I’m creating (which I can assure you is not the case), but I absolutely love to socialise and adore the occasional night out… and I feel so guilty for feeling this way!!! My husband is about to head out for some drinks, and I can’t help but feel so jealous of him! I don’t remember feeling this way with either of my previous pregnancies, so I’m hoping I’m not the only one here that’s struggling with this? 🥺

Would you be concerned

If you had a toddler and lived in the same street as a primary (elementary) school and your neighbour has a driveway (1 car length long) that leads to a sudden drop off of around 10ft onto concrete.
No barriers it just leads straight onto the road, no signs or anything to indicate private property or anything it’s just a gravel patch.
Used to have fencing at the end to guard from the drop but unmaintained and fence has fallen away.
Very quiet narrow dead end street so kids are generally safe to play on the road and children walk past it to go to and from school

Bonus Babe

So my bonus daughter is in town for the summer and I feel like every single thing we have done this summer, she says is boring. When I ask her what she wants to do with everyone else in mind, she still says it was boring or she didn’t get something she wanted. It’s like everything we do there is something wrong with it. It’s so stressful😩 Ive been trying to be as fun as possible and have as many activities and outing within reason because of this economy. I’m lost on exactly what is going on cause she gets upset constantly with stuff. She’s only eight. Does anyone have any ideas for activities for an eight year old?

I want to beat my husband in an argument ❤️😂

For context this is a funny argument. Not serious.
So I’m freshly 6 months postpartum and breast feeding. Our baby is going through severe sleep regression and wakes up every 30-40mins for a snack on the booby. If I don’t give it to him he wake up in hysterics. So I tend to get very hungry in the middle of the night and I’ll make my self a snack platter.

That being said when he gets up in the morning for work I’m either still awake or only slept for 30mins. So I haven’t cleaned up all my snacks on my bedside. This goes on through out the day and I accumulate maybe 5 snacks wrapper or a drink container. He said no other woman does this and I’m messy and should clean it up right away.

Given the baby is a Velcro I tend to clean the whole once every two days to three days where I put an hour of dedicated time to deep cleaning everything but with the snacks. I clean them up at night when I refill my snacks and water.

So here’s the debate he says if I can talk to other women who do this and actually prove my point he will apologize. (We are laughing about this but I just want to be right that breastfeeding hunger and little to no time to sleep puts a delay on the little things) 😁🥰

Be honest I’m not sensitive lol.

Food addiction and food noise

I am so sick of the cycle, I can't get out of it.
I track my calories to try and avoid overeating and to lose weight but uts honestly taking over every thought and making me feel so depressed and stuck and FAT. I just can't lose weight no matter how hard I try.

I always do really well during the day, but by the time I have dinner I am so hungry, I eat my dinner and then I just want to stuff my face with whatever I can find.

I've tried snacking on strawberries because I enjoy them and they're obviously low calorie but I can't keep buying crates and crates of strawberries, I have a toddler who eats them too, we'll go into debt at the rate he eats strawberries too 😅

I'm trying my best to find low calorie, high volume foods to eat when I'm getting the urge to snack and binge but so far I only have a couple things that work and I need more options. Obviously I want to avoid binging but it just feels impossible, so if I'm going to do it, I don't want it to mess my calories deficit too much. I just always feel hungryyyy.
